I/ AIMS AND OBJECTIVES * Language content : - To introduce a dialogue of Nga and her Grandma about things people do in the past *Language function : - To enable the students to practice listening to a dialogue, then express their feelings and distinguish between the facts and opinions * Educational aim : - To help the sts know how to maintain good traditions and respect their grandparents 1 Language: + Vocabulary : + light, folktale, tradition + Structures : + Used to + Simple past 2 Skills: Integrated skills: 3 Education factor: To help the sts know the past events

II.TEACHER AND STUDENTS’PREPARATION: 1 Method: Communicative Approach : 2 Techniques: Explanation , substitution , pairs work 3 Materials needed: text book , chalk , board 4 Students’ preparation: Read “Listen and Read” at home 5 Previous exercises: Do exercise 6 page 20 III/ PROCEDURE IN CLASS: 1.Stabilization ( 2ms):

a Warm up: Greets the students

b Checking absence: Asks the monitor about the absence

2.Checking up previous knowledge ( 5ms)

- Asks 1 st to go to the board and give the past form of the verbs

Be,buy,build,invent,bring,write

And give one example

- Corrects, gives remarks & marks.

2 Techniques: : Brainstorming, Role- play, Picture- Drill , pairwork and groupwork.

4 Students’ preparation: Things in 2 pictures

5 Previous exercises: Practice the dialogue & Answer the questions

III PROCEDURE IN CLASS:

1 Stabilization : (2ms) Makes a short talk to the sts about the health and the weather

2 Checking up previous knowledges: Time needed : (5ms)

-Calls two students to go to the board to play roles to read the dialogue

- Asks them some questions to related to the dialogue

1 Where did Nga’s granma use to live?

2 What did Nga’s great granma use to do?

- Corrects,gives the remarks &marks

-Read the dialogue

- Answer the questions
