Lesson A SCHEDULES ( A1,2)

I AIMS AND OBJECTIVES:

* Language content:

- To introduce the students the ways of telling the time, asking the time and answeringthe time, asking the timetable and answering

- To listen and fill in the information about the time and subjects in school

- To revise the present simple tense

* Language function:

- To enable the sts how to talk about the time

- To enable the sts to express their schedules

* Educational aims

-To help the sts aware of the importance of time and how to use their timescientifically

1.Language:

a) vocabulary: The way of saying the time.

b) Structure: ( Review ) What time is it ?

It is ……….

+What time do you get up?

-> I get up at 6.

3 Education factor :

- To a help the sts to ask and answer about time

II.Teacher and students’ preparation.

1 Method: Communicative approach.

2 Techniques: Repetition, Questions – Answers, Pairwork, Gap- Information

3 Material needed: textbook, workbook, a clock, matching

4 Students’ preparation: Review how to ask and answer about the time.

5 Previous exercise : correcting the test

III.Procedure in class:

1 Stabilization: 2ms

a) Warm up: Makes greetings

b) Checking absence: Who’s absent today?

2 Checking up the previous knowledge : 5ms

Divides the class into 6 groups, each groups choose their representative to go the board towrite down the numbers from 1- 10,11-20,

21-30,31-40,41-50,51-60

- Corrects and gives marks

- Has the sts repeat the numbers above

3 It rings like this->It is a clock

- Sets - up contexts by asking the sts to answer:

+ What time is it ?

- Presents the lesson by using the pictures in the book

- Introduces the lesson :

To day we are going to learn how to say the time

& schedules

2 Pre-practice a.New words

“ Rub out and Remember”

- Let the students look at the pictures of the clocks and the sentences

underline them

- Has the students listen

to the cassette and then draw the ways of talking about time

- Reminds the students of two ways of saying the time

 It’s four fifteen (4.15)

 It’s a quarter past four

- Listen and answer:

-Listen and know the aims of the lesson

- Listen, repeat the statements about the time and know the way to talk about time

- Gives remarks

on how to talk about what time-Answer and take

Unit 4:

AT SCHOOL Period 21

- Let the students listen tothe tape again and repeat after it

- Calls some students to reread the sentences of the time in front of class

- Have the students work

in pairs, practice asking and answering about the time of the pictures of theclocks

I.AIMS AND OBJECTIVES:

* Language content:

-To provide the sts with new words relating to school subjects

-To review the present continuous tense and help the sts talk about time

a) Vocabulary: ( school subjects): Science, Physical education, History, Math, period,

class, start again, as usual, next class, the last class.

b) Structure: S am/ is/are Ving # S Vs/es

+ What is Lan studying at 8.40? – She is studying Physics.

+When/ What time do you have English? – I have it on Monday/ at 8.20 on Monday.

+What is your favorite subject?- I like Math.

2 Skills: Integrated skills

3 Education factor:

- To educate the sts to have a habit of learning school subjects hard

II.TEACHER AND STUDENTS’ PREPARATION.

1 Method: Communicative approach.

2 Techniques: Explanation, Repetition, Picture- Drill, Real things, Pair work

3 Material needed: Pictures and Text book

4 Students’ preparation: Subjects and timetable at school.
