Week: 1 Date of preparation: August 13 th , 2015

- To help the sts revise the main gramar structures and the kinds of sentences the

students have learned in the 7th English program ( tenses,prepositons,questions words…)

* Language function :

- To enable the students to use the tenses exactly.

- To assist the sts to use the prepositional phrases correctly

* Educational aim :

- To make the sts aware of the importance of revising and practising language regulary

1.Language

+ Vocabulary : Some regular and irregular verbs

+ Structures : Tenses (the present simple, the past simple the present progressive)

II/ TEACHER AND STUDENTS' PREPARATION:

1 Method : Communicative approach.

2 Techniques: Question-Answer, Gap-filing, Role- play,Pair work and Group work.

3 Materials needed: Text book, pictures

4 Students' preparation: sentences on greetings, tenses

b Checking absence: Asks the monitor about the absence

2.Checking up previous knowledge ( 5ms)

* Questions: - Asks one student to go to the board to give correct form of the

verbs 1.I (practise)…… the piano last summer holiday.

2.She usually (buy) ………newspapers in the morning.

3.The girls (skip) …….rope now.

* Answer keys: - Corrects the mistakes, gives the remarks and marks

- Guides the sts how to learn English 8:

+ students must have a good aim of learning, must be eager with the subject

+ students should study

by themselves, and try to practice with friends

+ students should practice in pairs, in groupswith discipline

+ use the textbook withthe exercise book to have

a chance to practice many times

+ students should learn the old lesson very well,

do homework before going to class Students should combine the 4 skills : listening, speaking,reading, writing when learning English Try to practice listening the tape regularly to have good pronunciation

II.Revision

I/ AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

* Language content :

- Intrroduces the students the ways to introduce someone and give responses

- To provide the students with the ways of introducing someone and giving responses

- Uses attributive and predicative adjectives to desscribe people.

* Language function

- To enable the students to practice describing their friends and listening for details

- To enable the students to develope the skill of listening for completing conversations on

introducing people and responses

* Educational aim

- To make the students aware of the importance of friendship

- To make the students aware of the importance of making greetings in the life.

1 Language:

+ Vocabulary: - Descriptive adjectives(curly, bold,fair,blond)

III/ PROCEDURE IN CLASS :

1.Stabilization ( 2ms):

a Warm up: Greets the students & asks the sts the questions on health

b Checking absence: Asks the monitor about the absence

2.Checking up previous knowledge (4ms)

- Asks the sts to read the dialogue and answer the questions

+ Where does Nien live?

+ Is she older than Hoa?

- Gives remarks & marks : - 2 sts to go to the board to read the dialogue

+ She lives in Hue.

2 Pre - Speaking:

a Pre-teaches vocabulary:

+ slim ( adj ) + curly ( adj ) + bold ( adj ) + blond ( adj ) + fair ( adj)

- Uses “ slap the board” to check understanding

b.Dialogue model & Structures

- Introduces the dialogue

- Gives correction

3.While- Speaking

- Shows the posters of 6 people.

- Asks them to work in group of six to take turn to describe the pictures, the other try to guess who he / she is

- Helps the sts to speak well.

-2 teams to go to the board

-Read the dialogue in pairs and draw out the form of the sentences to desribe hair of people.

- Has the students listen to the tape one to get general ideas -Asks the sts to listen to the tape twice, then discuss in pairs

to give the answers.

- Asks the sts to make conversations on greetings

- Asks students describe their

close friends or other students

- Repeat the sentences
