I OBECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to talk about how to send a

letter or a parcel, know some places or activities in the neighborhood

II PREPARATIONS: Book, cassette tape

III PROCEDURES:

1 Warm – Up : (5’)

- Show the picture and ask:

Where are they?

 At the post office

2 Pre – Speaking: (10’)

- Have students look at the picture and answer the

questions

a Who are the people in the picture?

 Mrs Kim and the clerk

b What does she want to do?

 She wants to send something to somewhere?

- Explain vocabulary:

1 clerk (n)

1 airmail (n)

2 surface mail (n)

3 to weigh (v):

 weight (n)

4 parcel(n):

3 While – Speaking: (15’)

- Ask students to practice the dialogue in pairs

- Ask students to read carefully the brochure and the

information in the box, make similar dialogues in pairs

- Have students only choose one of the items from the

surface mail or airmail to make dialogues

- Give example:

S1: Can I help you?

S2: I want to send a letter to Kontum

S1: Do you want to send it airmail or surface

mail?

S2: I send it surface mail How much is it?

and fill in the blanks with the suitable place or program
