- Vocabulary: address, live with, flat, floor, tower, lane, road, village,street

2 Skills:

- Develop Ss Reading, Listening, Speaking, Writing

3 Attitude:

- Educate ss love their hometown and keep it clean

II Teaching- aids

1 Teacher’s: Student’s book, recording ,flashcard, puppets, poster

2 Students’: books, workbooks.

III Methods:

- Model-Talk-Practice, individual work, pair work,group work

IV Procedures :

1 Class organization:

- Greeting

- Checking for the students' attendance

Warm up: ( ) 4’

Ask some questions from grade 4:

- What do you do on Sunday?

- What can you do?

- What did you do yesterday?

- What animal do you like?

3 New leson:

1 Look, listen and repeat (8’)

- Asking the students open the book

+ss open the books

- Focus their attention on the title of the unit, pictures

and the texts

- Get pupils to read the title of the unit and elicit their

answers such as:

Q: What do you do when meeting each other?

A: greeting: Hello How are you?

- Introducing name of members who you see in the

picture and suggest the language that the members are

talking

- Point to each picture and say:

- Say: these children are in the classroom

(Point to Mai).Who’s this girl?- It’s Mai

(Point to Nam) Who’s this boy?- It’s Nam

- Praise pupils if they give a correct answer Then ask

pupils to discuss what is happening in each picture

- Read each line in the pictures and check pupils’

comprehension at times

- Using English and Vietnamese when necessary

* Make sure that pupils can understand the situation

and language Play the recording twice: once for pupils

to listen all the way through and once for them repeat

Pause after each line for them to repeat a few times

* Divide the class into groups to take turns to say the

lines from picture a and b

- Check the old lesson: Play game to chain drill the dialogue (with a ball threw to S1 who stand up greeting and self- introduce, go on with others )

3 New leson:

4 Listen and complete (8’)

* Ask the students open the book on page 7

+ Ss open the books on p7

- Get pupils to look at the pictures and tell the purpose

of listening

- Listen and tick the correct picture in each number

- Elicit pupils’ answers e.g How many sentences?-4

Are they completed? No.Who are they? Tony,Linda,

Peter and Tom.

- Using English and Vietnamese when necessary

- Ask pupils should make guesses based on the

pictures and contextual clues as they listen

* Play the recording three times: the first for pupils to

listen all the way through and the second for them to

do the task Pause after each part for them to tick the

picture

- Ask pupils share guess answers before listening and

correct answers after listening in pairs and report their

answers to the class

- Teacher writes the whole answers from students on

the board then replay the recording the third to check

their correct answers

- Give some question Why you choose that answer

- Teacher remark and correct

*After listening: Asking students look at the pictures

and retell the content of the listening lesson Aim is to

check their understanding and consolidate language

knowledge

5 Read and complete (10’)

* Make sure pupils understand the task.

- Have a brief discussion about the passage and

instruction, and elicit pupils’ answers: What is the

passage about? – about Trung’s address

- Teacher models the first example.

* Individual work Pupils read and choose the words

- Stick the large- sized sheet of paper with the song

- Discuss the pictures with pupils Point to each child

and elicit their answers to identify him/ her

* Play the recording twice: once for pupils to listen all

the way through and once for them to do the task

Pause after each line for them to repeat a few times

*Replay the recording for class to sing along

- Divide the class into groups Each group sings a line

without music

- Group work

- Call on a group to sing the song in front of the class

* Suggest pupils replace the names in the song with

their two friends Then sing their revised song

7 Consolidation:(5’)

- Write the new words and structure in to the

notebook

- Singing again the song and can replace the

names in the song to sing
