II/ Reported speech

- We use reported speech to speak about the past so verbs usually changeto the past inreported speech

- If we are reporting something and we feel it is true, we do not need the tense of the verb

- We use a present tense or present perfect if we also use a present tense or a future tense for the verb in the reporting clause
