Warm up
- Let Sts to give some sentences about
themselves or their friends
Active 1:
- Ask students to work in pairs, discuss
about the adverbs of time and places and
give the right forms to change from the
direct sentences into reported speech
- Ask students to give the right tenses to
change from the direct sentences into
reported speech
Active 2:
- Teacher explains how to change the
command in the direct sentences into
reported speech
a) I am a good student
b) Lan studies very well
c) Mr Hai will visit Nam’s house tomor-row
d) Thao is not reading a book now

Adverb of time and places:
- this -> that
- these -> those
- here -> there
- now -> then
- today -> that day
- tomorrow -> the following day Give the tenses

=> S + told + O + to V + … Eg: She said to me “ Sit down”
=> She told me to sit down
S + said to + O, “Don’t + V(bare inf) + …”
=> S + told + O + to V + … Eg: Hung told Nam “Don’t go out now”
=> Hung told Nam not to go out then
