REPORTED SPEECH

Aim

Practicing the direct and reported speech

Objectives:

By the end of the lesson, Sts will be able to understand about direct and reported speech clearly.

Teaching aids:

English lesson plan, pictures…

Procedures:

Active 1:

- Ask students to give the right forms of

the adverbs in the reported speech

Adverb of time and places:

- Ask students to give the right tenses to

change from the direct sentences into

reported speech

Active 2:

- Ask students to show the way to change

the command in the direct sentences into

reported speech

Active 2:

- Explain how to change the questions in

the direct sentences into reported speech

Active 3

Ask student to do the exercises.

- Let students write the sentences and

change them into the reported speech

- Teacher corrects the mistakes

- here -> there

- now -> then

- today -> that day

- tomorrow -> the following day

- Present simple -> Past Simple

- Present Progressive -> Past Progressive

- Present Perfect -> Past Perfect

- Future tense -> would + Vinf

- Can/ may -> could / might
