UNIT 2: LESSON 2 : Oo

I Objective :

- By the end of the lesson , students will be able to practise the sound of the letter Bb and the coresponding words

- Learn and practise reading skills and sing a song

1 Language focus:

Vocabulary: olive, orange, octopus

Sight words: an,this, is, with, and

2 Skill: listening, speaking ,reading , writing

3.Attitude: to teach ps like let’s chant

II Teaching aids:

1 Teacher:

- Book, CD, phonics cards, paper including the lyrics of the chant

2 Student:

- Student’s book, Activity book

- TPA, PPP

IV.Procedures:

1 Organization:

- Greeting

- Check student attendence

2 Warm up (5’)

-Ask ss to name the letter and say the sound of letter

- Put up the card on board T calls the letter and ask

ss to mine the action and say the sound

3 New lesson ( 30’ )

-Ask ss to point letter /o/ in the word ant

and point to the picture of olive Do the

same with orange and octopus

-Ask ss to listen the story and point to the

picture of key words when they hear

them in the story

- Ss work in pairs ,one read and one check

- Put up the olive, orange, octopus

phonics card on board

- Ask ss to point the ant and say This is

Mr Octopus

.Do the same with the rest of the song

- Play the CD Ask ss to listen and sing

- Ask ss to take out the ball on the bed

desk

- Play the CD and ask ss listen and hold

up the corresponding card

3 Pactise: 6’

*Activity : Which one is missing 1’

- Put the card up on the table and give ss a

minute to look at them and ask ss close

their eyes and take away a card

- Ss open their eyes and name the card

using any colour they like

- Put up the acrobat phonics card on board

- Ask ss to point the ant and say

- Play the CD Ask ss to listen and sing

- Ss point the pictures and ask ss name them

- Give time for ss colour

3 Pactise: 7’

*Activity : Hunt

- Hide the cards around the class

- divide class into 2 teams
