LESSON 3-4

I AIMS:

1 Knowledge: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:

 Read and say the three Xx words correctly

 Recognize and say an extra Xx word correctly

Vocabulary: Ox, box, taxi

Sight words : Stop, the, , is, in, a, please

2 Skills: Reading, Listening, Speaking, Writing skill

3.Attitude: Recognize and pronounce the letter X and its sound

(Requirements: students with disability can see and practise )

- Teacher’s:i-Learn My Phonics Grade 2 , lesson plan, CD Phonics cards

Put up the ox, box, taxi phonics cards on the board.

Write the letters of the words around them in random order.

table/stick them on the board (may use

some cards from the previous lessons)

Give the students 10 seconds to look at the

cards

Have students close their eyes and then

you take away one cards

Tell the students to open their eyes and

name the missing cards

Ask students with disability read and chosse

Write on the board the capital letter X

(write slowly to demonstrate its

formation)

Point to it and elicit the sound /ks/

Show the formation in the air (taking care

is formed the correct way for them)

Repeat with the small letter x

The students trace the letters in their

activity books.

Go around and provide any necessary help

Ask the students to say the sound of the

letter

Explain the activity

First, the students trace the letters in the

boxes

Then draw lines from the letters to the
