Writing
- Have sts come to the board and write the words that have letters /th/
II NEW LESSON
1 Listen and repeat
- Have pupils look at the poster with the content of part 1 (sts’ book – Page 28)
- Tell them they are going to learn how to pronoun the sounds with the
/th/ and with 2 different ways and words.
- Produce the sounds with /th/ in this, that, and in thin, thick a few times.
Ask pupils to say what they think about when they hear the sounds
- Play the recording again for the whole class to repeat each line in the speech bubbles to reinforce their pronunciation
- Give the notes how to pronoun /th/ in 2 ways and different words
2 Listen and tick Then write and say aloud
- Have pupils look and read the uncompleted sentences given.
- Tell the pupils that they are going to listen to 4 sentences and tick the words they hear to fill in the gaps
- Play the recording twice for pupils listen and repeat
- Compare the answers with the partner
