* Futher practice

- Ask Ss to work in pairs, ask and answer about

the jobs of their family members

-Put phonics cards of the previous units on the

board (e.g tree,tent, tiger, tea, up,

previous word, then says the next word in the

sequence

-Continue with each student saying the next word

in the sequence

e.g.: Student 1: tree

-Point to the pictures and elicit their names

-T explain the activity

-Ask students to look at the pictures and circle

Thumbs Up or Down (5’)

-Show phonics cards to students (e.g tree,tent,

tiger, tea, up, umbrella,ugly,sun, star, snake,

seal…)

-Ask the students to put their thumbs up if the

picture starts with u sound and put their thumbs

down if the picture does not start with u sound.

e.g Teacher:

-Show the students the under phonics card Point to

- The students in each team have to ‘hunt’ for

the phonics cards of their team

- Play the song (Track 51) from lesson 2

The first team to find all its words before the

end of the song is the winner
