names of the stores

convenience of the mall.

3 While reading (15 minutes)

- Ask Ss to look at the exercise 1 in page 68

a) The mall is open six days a week

b) There are more than 50 stores in the

mall

c) Everyone in the neighborhood is pleased

about the new mall

d) It will be more comfortable to shop in

the mall than in the present shopping area

e) Some of the stores on Tran Phu Street

may have to close

- Ask Ss to scan the text then stick T or F

for each sentence

- Have some Ss to read the sentences and

give their ideas

- Remark and give correct answers

- Call on some Ss to read the text loudly

- Ask Ss to work in pairs to answer the

1 Warm up (7 minutes)

* Matching:

- Stick a poster of infinitives and Past

Participles on the board

+ be - worked see – gone

+ go – collected write – eaten

+ eat – written work – been

+ live – seen collect – lived

- Get students from two teams to write each

pair of infinitive - past participle on board

- Have Ss repeat the words in chorus

Exercise 1:

- Play in two teams

+ Be – been see – seen + Go – gone write – written + Eat – eaten work – worked + Live – lived collect – collected

- Match

- Listen and repeat

2 The present perfect (15 minutes)

- Explain how to use since and for

- Ask Ss to complete the expressions using

for and since.

- Call Ss to practice in front of the class
