Act 1: Warm up

- Spend a few minutes revising Hi/ Hello How

are you? I’m fine, thank you.

- Have ps play the Slap the board game, using

the name of the characters: Miss Hien, Mai,

nam, Quan, Hoa and Phong

Act 2: Listen and number

+ Pre- listening : Ask Ss to tell about the

differences between the pic

- Tell Ss the way to listen

+While listening: + Ask Ss to listen to the tape

and choose , number the right pic

- Listen and write the number in the picture

you hear

+ Play the tape three times to listen

+ Listen and number the mentioned pictures

+ Listen and give the correct

to copy down into their notebooks

- Call a few open pairs to act out the dialogue

- T writes two sounds /b/ and /h/ on the board

dialogue

-Produce the sound of the letter/ b /in the word bye and

/h/ in the word hello

-Have Ss practice the chant in groups and clap the

syllables

-Have Ss circle all the words containing the focused

sounds hello and bye in the chant.

- Call on Ss to practise in front of the class
