Unit 5- STUDY HABITS

Lesson 1: Getting started (p.46) listen and read (p.46- 47)

I.Aims:

- Help ss listen and read the dialogue for details

- By the end of the lesson ss will be able to understand the dialogue between Jim and his Mom about his study

1.Language contents:

*Grammar: present simple, simple future

*Vocabulary: report card, pronunciation, semester, improve, be proud of, learnt by heart, try one’s best, promise

2.Skills: - Develop 4 skills: R, L, S and W.

3.Attitude and moral sense : It helps ss to have motivation , happiness to communicate with

each other in English Besides, the lesson can helps ss work harder

II.Teaching aids:

Lesson plan, textbook, handouts, posters, pictures, colorchalks

1.Teacher’s preparation: lesson plan, CD, cassette, poster.

2.Ss’ preparation: books, notebooks, workbooks.

Lesson 2: speak (p.47- 48) I.Aims:

- Help ss understand and remember the words and phrases given in the lesson and practice speaking about subjects at school

- By the end of the lesson ss will be able to talk about their subjects at school and their study habits

1.Language contents:

*Grammar: Adverbs of manner, modal should, commands, requests and advice, in reported speech

*Vocab: review

2.Skills: - Develop 4 skills: L S, R &W.

3.Attitude and moral sense : It helps ss to have motivation , happiness to communicate with

each other in English Besides, the lesson can helps ss work harder
