Objectives: By the end of the lesson, pupils are able to pronounce the words correctly

and use the present perfect and present passive appropriately, and who, which, that

PROCEDURE

I/ WARM-UP: (3’)

Pictures of a foot and a shoe

T : What is it?

Ss :- It’s a foot. >/u/ (1)

-It’s a shoe. >/ u:/ (2)

Are the vowel sounds the same or different?

They are different- (1) is short u and (2) is long u

To know how to pronounce long u and short u, we study Language focus

II/ PRONUNCIATION : ( 10’)

1/Listen and repeat:

/ u /: put, foot, pull, look, cook, full

/u:/: food, fruit, school, tooth, June, afternoon

- T modals, Ss listen and repeat in chorus

- T asks some Ss to reread them

2/Practice these sentences:

1 Could you tell me where you’ve put my book?

2.Your bookshelf is full of books

3 Look! The boy is looking at your book

4 Miss June is looking at the Moon

5 Both your shoes and boots are dirty

6 Miss Moon went to school this afternoon

- T reads the sentences-Sts listen

- T asks Ss to read themselves

- T asks some Ss to reread them

III/ GRAMMAR : ( 18 min )

a Examples : Give your remark on six sentences below:

c Usage : to describe a past action with the result in the present
