I Stabilization: Greetings, Absentees

I Warm – up:Chatting

- T asks Ss some questions about the countryside

1 Do you live in the city or in the countryside?

2 Do you like to live in the countryside? Why?

- Ask Ss to look at the pictures and describe what the people are doing in the picture:

Picture 1: - She is watering the vegetables

2: - The children are swimming

3: - She is feeding the chicken / collecting the eggs

4: - The farmers are harvesting

5: - He is feeding the pigs

6: - He is plowing the field

7: - A boy is flying his kite

Activity 1:

- Give feedback.( Ss sticks the places on the bus route with the letter on the map.

Key:

1 At 6.30 in the morning, the bus collected Ba and his family from their home

2 The bus continued north on the Highway Number 1

3 It crossed the Dragon Bridge and stopped at the gas station to get some more fuel

4 And then it left the highway and turned left into a smaller road westward

5 The road ended before a big store beside a pond

6 Instead of turning left towards a small airport, the bus went in the opposite direction

7 And turned left onto a road which went through a small bamboo forest

8 Finally, the bus dropped everyone off at the parking lot ten meters from a big old banyan tree

Tape transcript:

At 6.30 in the evening, the bus collected Ba and his family from their home After picking everyone up, the bus continued north on Highway Number 1 It crossed the Dragon Bridge and stopped at the gas station to get some fuel Then it left the highway and turned left on to the smaller road westward This road ran between green paddy fields, so the people on the bus could see a lot of cows and buffaloes.The road ended before a big store beside a pond Instead

of turning left towards a small airport, the bus went the opposite direction It didn't stay on that road for very long, but turned left onto a road which went through a small bamboo forest Finally, the bus dropped everyone off at the parking lot ten metters from a big old banyan tree It parked there and waited for people to come back in the evening

Form:
