V Procedure:

I Warm-up (4’)

- Ask Ss to answer some questions:

1 Have you ever heard about national park?

2 Name some of the National parks in Viet Nam and

in the world you know or hear about

- T: show 3 pictures of Cuc Phương National Park,

Everglades National Park, Nairobi National Park and

introduce the lesson: National parks

II Pre-reading (10’)

- Introduce the reading text and provide sts with new

words/phrases

+ lo'cate(v): = to place (có vị trí) (synonym)

+ 'butterfly(n): an insect with very big wings that can

fly(con bướm) (picture)

- Give a situation :

water So they had to spend a lot of money on

water.”

- T says: “ If they had brought water, they wouldn’t

have spent a lot of money on water.”

- Lead in: today we'll practice expressing regrets,

using the structure contained in this sentence

II Pre-speaking (10’)

* Task 1: Matching

- Ask students to read it silently

- Explain the meanings of some words:

+ carsick (n) (using situation)

+ fine (n) (using situation)

+ poisoning (situation)

- Ask Ss to discuss in groups to match things in

column A with those in column B
