I Objectives

By the end of the lesson, SS will be able to:

- Use the verbs in past simple tense correctly

- Change the verbs into past form (regular and irregular verbs)

- Pronouce verbs in “ed” endings

1.Warm-up

-Ask :

How was your trip?

What did you do?

What did you eat?

Did you swim?

Answer T’s question

2 Presentation

- Ask SS to write on the board the form of past

simple tense.

- Ask SS to give examples.

*Form:

Negative: S + Ved +O

Positive: S + did + not + V +O

Question: Did + S +V +O?

Yes, S+ did No, S+ didn’t

Question words: WH + did +S +V +O?

Eg: We started at 7 o’clock

We took a lot of photograph

The weather was heautiful

- Ask SS to present the use of past simple tense

* Use:

Use the simple past to talk about finished actions in

the past

- Ask SS to tell the way forming Ved and give

examples

*Verbs:

- Add “ed”

- Irregular verbs

* Note: To be: were/was

Write on the board Tell the way

forming Ved
