I/ OBJECTIVES:

1 Educational aims: To give sts some grammatical and pronunciation points.

2 Knowledge:

- General knowledge: Passive voice (review)

- Language: + Pronunciation: distinguish the sounds /p/ - /b/

+ pronounce the words and sentences containing these sounds correctly

II/ METHOD: Mainly communication

III/ TEACHING AIDS: Textbook, pictures of cities after storms

IV/ PROCEDURE:

1 Checking attendance

2 Checking the previous lesson (10’)

3 The new lesson

WARM UP (10’)

1 back / bed / brought / big / breakfast / Bernie / a / to / the

2 put / purple / pool / the / paint / in / Pat

* Suggested Answers

1 Bernie brought a big breakfast back to the bed.

2 Pat put purple paint in the pool.

T: Gives some words that are not in right orders and asks Sts to make sentences with the words provided

Sts: Work in groups to make sentences from the words given

T: Reads the complete sentences and asks Sts

to repeat in chorus

PRONUNCIATION (10’)

=> The mouse is being caught by the mouse (Passive)

T: Draws a cat is chasing to catch a mouse then asks Sts to make sentences

Sts: - Group 1: Make sentences beginning

with The cat

- Group 2: Make sentences beginning with The mouse
