LESSON 3 (P1,2,3)

Objectives :

- At the end of the lesson Ss will be able to know how to say the intonation correctly

- Skills: listening and speaking

- Attitude:

- Student’s book, projector

IV Procedures:

A Warm up and Review (5’): Sing a song

- Put up the phonics cards on the bb

- Write the letters of the words around them in

random order

-Ask Ss to rewrite the words

- Check and correct mistakes

New lesson:

1.Listen and repeat(10’):

- Ask about the intonation sentences

- Write and introduce the new words and how to

say the intonation

- Produce the sounds in a few times Ask Ss to

repeat in a few times

- Teach these words in the sentence

- Play CD and ask to repeat 2 times

- Call a model student

- Give time for group work to do and practice

2 Listen and mark the sentences intonation

Then say aloud(15’):

- Have pupils look the missing sentences.

-Tell the pupils that they are going to listen to the

dialogues and circle the correct answer in the

blanks

- Play the recording 2 times pupils to listen and

choose the correct answers Compare the answers

with the partner

1.Listen and repeat

- What would you like to be in the future?

I’d like to be a nurse

- Why would you like to be a nurse?

Because I’d like to look after patients

2 Listen and mark the sentences intonation Then say aloud

- Play the recording again pupils check their

answers T gives the answer:

- Have pupils read aloud the dialogue in pairs or

groups for correction

- Ask some questions to ensure pupils’

comprehension of the listening text

3 Let’s chant(10’):What would you like to be in

the future?

- Asks Ss to open their book

- Stick the large – sized sheet of paper with the

grid on the board and tells that they are going to

chant

- Plays the recording for Ss to get familiarized

with the pronunciation the stress, the rhythm and

the intonation of the chant

- Plays the recording and asks Ss to repeat the

chant

- Plays the recording once more for Ss to repeat

whole the chant

- Calls some Ss to read the chant in front of class

- Have pupils look at the table in their books Tell

-Monitor the activity, and offer help when

necessary

other pupils write in the notebooks in individuals

-Have pupils comment the answer on the board
