Unit 3: COLORS Lesson 3: Part A, B, C

I Objective:

1 Language focus:

- By the end of this lesson,Ss will be able to identify the color of objects and show gratitude

Vocabulary: pink, white, flower

Structures : It's a (pink) flower/ Thank you/ You're welcome.

2 Skill:

- Listening, speaking, reading, writing

3 Attitude:

- Encourage Ss to use the structure more regulary

II Teaching aids:

+ Teacher’s aids: Ss’book and teacher’s book, class CDs, flashcards, projector /TV + Students’ aids: Student book, notebooks, workbook.

III Method:

- Model - Talk - Practice, individual work, pair work, group work

IV Procedures:

1 Organization:

1B Monday, November 9th 2020

1D Thursday, November 12th 2020

2 Warm up (5’)

*Activity: Seven lives

- T draw or stick seven bodies outlines on the board

- T gives Ss a topic

- T choose a word Draw one line on the board for each letter in a word, for example: _ _ _ ( red)

- T asks Ss to put up their hands to say a letter, if the letter is in the word, teacher writes it on the line If the letter is not in the word, the teacher removes one of the bodies from the board

- When students complete the word or lose all seven lives the game finishes

3 New lesson (30’)

*Activity A: Listen and point Repeat (5’)

- T arrange the flashcards on the board, play the

CD and point to each flashcard

- T plays the CD and asks Ss to point to the

pictures in their books

- T plays the CD again and asks Ss to listen and

repeat

*Activity: Play " Guess." (5’)

- T arrange the flashcards on the board and write a

number under each card

- T asks Ss to look at the flashcards for the count

of ten Turn the flashcards over to face the board

when Ss are not looking

- T call out a number and asks Ss to take turns to

guess the face - down card Turn the card over

after each guess

*Activity B:

1 Listen and point (5’)

- T asks Ss to call out the things they can see.

- T asks Ss to listen and follow.

- T play the CD and demonstrate pointing

- T play the CD and asks Ss to listen and point

2 Listen and repeat (5’)

- T asks Ss to look at the useful language box.

- T play the CD and asks Ss to listen to the useful

language

- T asks Ss to practice the useful language

*Activity C Play " Guess the picture." (5’)

- T asks Ss to look at the example.

- T divide the class into two teams

- T asks a student stand facing away from the

board and stick a flashcard on the board behind

them

- Ss try to guess the answer without looking at the

flashcard

- T give that team one point if it's a correct guess

*Activity: Musical cards (5’)

- T play some lively music

- Hand out the flashcards from this lesson

- T lets Ss pass the flashcards around all the rows

of seats while the music is playing

- T stop the music suddenly Ask Ss who are

holding the flashcards to stand up and say the

2 Warm up (5’)

*Activity: Run, draw and color.

- T asks Ss to work in four teams

- T stick four blank sheets on the board

- T say “ Draw a pink flower.” one student of each team run to the board to draw and color the flower

- T continue the game in the same way

3 New lesson (30’)

1 Listen to the story (8’)

- T introduce the situation

- T asks Ss to call out the people and things they

- T calls 4 Ss to come to the board to face off

- T calls out the sentence and asks Ss run to the

board then slap the picture and repeat the

sentence The winner is the student who slaps the

picture at first

2 Listen and repeat.
