-Introduction of letter Oo , Its sound and how to
pronounce the words beginning with Oo
- Use a card with letter Oo or write on the board
the letter Oo to introduce to the students the new
lesson
- Ask students how to pronouce the letter name
and the letter sound by saying “ This is the letter
Oo /o / The letter O says / o/
-Repeat several times and check student’s
1 Listen , point and repeat.Colour.

-Use gestures (hand actions ) to help students to
understand the meanings of the three words
-Check student’s understanding T says the
words,all ss do actiuons and vice versa
-Call some ss to say the words out loud and
correct their mistakes
2 Listen and point Choose
- Ask ss to look at the books and listen to the
words This is an olive !
This is an orange !
This is an octopus !
-Use gestures ( hand actions ) to help ss to
understanding the meaning of command
-Ask ss to repeat by using the phonics cards of
olive, orange, octopus combining with gestures
- Ask ss to choose the an olive, an orange, an
octopus
- T goes round the classroom ,asking ss to name
the items they are choose
*Activitiy :Pass the phonic card
- Using the phonic cards of Oo , olive , and line
up the ss into 2 teams
-Give the first ss of each team a phonics card and
say “go “
- Ss say the coresponding words and pass the
phonics card over their head to the ss behind
them
- Next, those ss repeat the words and pass the
phonics card between their legs to the ss behind
them
- Continue to pass the phonic card over their
head and between their legs to the last ss
- The last ss in each team give the card to teacher
and say the word correctly They will get one
point
- Which team has the most point wiil be winner
Continue the game as many times as necessary
3 Chant and show: 10’
-Put up the lyris of the chant on the board
