+"For" dùng truớc một khoảng tg :

+ "since" dùng trớc điểm tg:

-Thì HTHT diễn tả một hành động xảy ra trong quá khứ mà không xác định rõ thời gian

-Thì HTHT diễn tả hành động đã hoàn thành trong khoảng thời gian bây giờ cha qua

I have seen him this morning.(Bây giờ vẫn còn trong buổi sáng) -Thì HTHT diễn tả một hành động bắt đầu trong quá khứ còn tiếp tục đến hiện tại

- Thì HTHT cũng diễn tả một hành động bắt đầu trong quá khứ và dừng lại ở lúc nói

- Thì HTHT diễn tả một hành động vừa mới xảy ra

-Thì HTHT thờng dùng với:ever, never để chỉ sự kiện từ quá khứ đến hiện tại và ever dùng trong câu hỏi, never dùng trong câu khẳng định

2 Superlatives.

- Hỡnh thức so sỏnh nhất của cỏc tớnh từ cú một õm tiết

BE + THE + ADJ + EST

Eg: This tower is the tallest

Minh is the tallest student in my class

- Hỡnh thức so sỏnh của cỏc tớnh từ cú 2 õm tiết trở lờn

BE + THE MOST + ADJ

Eg: Ba is the most intelligent student in our school

* Note:

- Với một số tớnh từ ta phải gấp đụi mẫu tự cuối trước khi thờm “er” hoặc “est”.Eg: big -> bigger- the biggest

Hot -> hotter -> the hottest

Wet -> wetter ->the wettest

-Cỏc tớnh từ cú 2 õm tiết thường cú hỡnh thức so sỏnh hơn là “more + adj + than”, nhưng khi tớnh từ từ cú 2 õm tiết tận cựng bằng “y” như “happy”, “funny” thỡ hỡnh thức so sỏnh hơn là “ adj + er +than” và hỡnh thức so sỏnh nhất là “ the + adj + est”

Eg: easy -> easier -> the easiest

Happy -> happier -> the happiest

Funny -> funnier -> the funniest

- Cỏc tớnh từ cú 2 õm tiết khỏc thường cú dạng so sỏnh hơn là “er” và so sỏnh nhất

là “est” là những tớnh từ tận cựng bằng “le, ow, er”

Eg: noble -> nobler ->the noblest

Yellow -> yellower -> the yellowest

Clever -> cleverer -> the cleverest

- Hỡnh thức so sỏnh hơn và so sỏnh nhất của cỏc tớnh từ bất quy tắc

Eg: good -> better -> the best

Bad -> worse -> the worst

Far -> farther / further -> the farthest/ furthest

I Hoàn tất cỏc cõu sau, sử dụng hỡnh thức so sỏnh hơn của cỏc tớnh từ trong ngoặc.
