about someone’s address

1 Language contents:

- Vocabulary: address, lane, tower, flat, floor.

- Sentence Patterns: What’s your address? _ It’s ………

2 Language skills:

- Develop Ss speaking and listening skills

3 Attitude: Ss must love subject English

II Preparations:

1 Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, pictures, cassette.

2 Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks, pen, eraser, pencil…

I Warm up (5’)

- Have the class play Slap the board, using the

pictures and names of the character ( Mai, Nam,

Quan, Phong, Linda, Tony, Hakim and Akiko).

- Get Ss to point at each picture and say sentence

For example: This is Mai.

She’s from Vietnam.

She’s Vietnamese.

- Introduce Unit 1 by writing the title on the board

and have Ss repeat it aloud

- Ss play Slap the board

- Ss point at each picture and say

sentence

- Ss look at the board and repeat the title aloud

II New lesson (25’)

1 Look, listen and repeat:

- Have pupils look at pictures Introduce the story

by pointing at each character and elicit their

answer to the questions

- Play the recording a few times for Ss to listen

2 Point and say:

- Tell Ss that they are going to practise asking and

answering questions about one’s address, using

- Revise number 10 to 100 with the class

- Have them look at the pictures
