2.1 Look, listen and repeat.

- Have Ps open the book on page 6 Ask them

to pay attention to the title of the unit, pictures

and the texts

- Ask Ps some questions for example:

Do you understand the tittle?

- Ask Ps to look at each pictures and indentify

the characters Point to each picture and ask Ps

to listen and answer:

+ Who’s this?

- Tell them that they are going to look at the

dialogue in their Student’s book, listen to the

recording and repeat the dialogue between

Nam, Mai and Trung

- T plays the recording all the way through for

pupils to listen

- Pronuonce two-syllabe words with the stress on the first syllyable: ’city, ’village,

- Write small letters for other words in the sentence

- Tell the class that they are going to practice

- First, explain to pupils what word stress is, in

Vietnamese, if necessary.(word stress is the

emphasis that you put on a syllable by saying it

more loudly) Tell them that we use the stress

mark(‘) to indicate word stress

- Write city, village, mounains and tower.

- Play the recording and ask pupils to repeat them,

paying attention to the target words and stress

- Get some pupils to say the sentences, while the

rest of the class claps at the stressed syllables of

the target words Correct the pronunciation, if

necessary
