I OBJECTIVES:

Teaching aims: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to consolidate the knowledge they have learnt: modal verbs, gerund, and present simple tense with future meaning

II PREPARATIONS: Book, extra - board

III PROCEDURES:

1 Warm – Up: (5’)

- Have Ss play a game: “Who is quick person”

Give some sentences:

Hoa loves playing volleyball

Nam hates reading book

Nga likes listening to music

2 Exercises: (35’)

a Exercise 1: Present simple tense with future

meaning

- Set the scene: Lan and Mai are members of the Y &

Y organization They are talking about the Spring

activity program

- Ask Ss to complete the following dialogue

Lan: (1) ……… we collect and empty garbage?

Mai: At Dong Xuan Market

Lan: (2) ………… we collect and empty garbage?

Mai: On January 9

Lan: (3) ………… we start and finish work?

Mai: We start at 8 am and finish at 5 pm

- Ask Ss to give feedback

- Ask Ss to look at the chart to ask and answer about

the Y & Y organization activity program in pairs

- Call some pairs to practice before the class
