Matching:

Match each object with its name

Match each object with its definition

Students work individually, then they pair

and compare

I Getting started

a an answering machine: is used to take messages

b a mobile phone: is used to make phone calls anywhere you like

c a fax machine: is used to send and receive faxes

d a telephone directory: is used to find names, addresses and telephone numbers

e a public telephone: is used to make phone calls in a street telephone box

f an address book: is used to write names, addresses and telephone numbers

and repeat it in chorus

Practice the dialogue in pairs

and answer the questions Students work on

their own first, then they pair and compare

Teacher gets some pairs to ask and answer

the questions aloud
