about the environment

Teacher's and Student’s activities Contents

1.Warm up:

- T asks Ss to play a game: “Noughts and

Crosses”

- Ss play the game in two groups

2 Presentation:

- T explains the first sentence at B2 (We

can help the environment by following

these rules.), asks Ss some question Then

elicits some new words:

a Teaching vocabulary:

- T uses gestures, pictures, and

explanation to elicit some new words:

- Ss take note

b Checking vocabulary:

- T asks Ss to read aloud the word that T

make it tobe disappared

- Ss read after Teacher do

3 Practice:

- T introduces the new lesson using

pictures (p.170)

- Have Ss read the rules in B2 and match

them with the pictures

- Ss work in pairs

- T introduces the situation of the

dialogue

- T has Ss listen and repeat

- T explains vocabulary

- T calls Ss to practice the dialogue

4 Production:

- Have Ss work in groups discussing this

question:

- What are you going to do with trash at

home and at school?

1 Where does the pollution come from?

2 How can we help the environment?

* Vocabulary:

- throw (v) ném, phóng, liệng

- pick (v) hái hoa, ngắt hoa

- damage (v) (= harm): làm hại, thiệt hại

- keep off (v) tiếp tục ra khỏi, giữ

- save (v) cất giữ, bảo vệ

- collect (v) thu nhặt, dọn dẹp, lợm lặt

B2 Listen and read

We can help the environment by following these rules.

KEY:

Picture a: Don’t damage trees

Picture b: Save water

Picture c: Don’t throw trash on the street

Picture d: Collect bottles and cans

Picture e : Keep off the grass

Picture f: Don’t pick the flowers

B4 Listen and repeat.

Should: nên Shouldn’t = should not: không nên Leave (v) để lại ( không đem theo)

Lan: We shouldn’t leave our trash

Ba: What are we going to do ? Nga: Put it in a trash can

Nam: There aren’t any trash cans Lan: Then we should put it in a bag and take it home
