Warm up : 5 ms

- T: What do you say when you meet your friends or other people?

- Ss: (chào bạn, em chào cô )

Presentation: 10ms

Pre-teach:

-T : introduces vocabulary

+ Vocabulary :

- hi: (trans) : xin chào

- hello: (trans) : xin chào

- is/ am (v), (exp ) : thì, là

- name (n) : tên -I am = I’m : tôi là

+ Note :

“ Hi” & “Hello” is used to greet in friendly manner between friends, relatives

+ Check Vo : Slap the board.

-T: reads word by word

- Ss:- listen & repeat - read in chorus - read individual - copy down

+ Dialogue build :

-T gives modal dialogues Then T reads Ss repeat

-Ss role play reading the dialogues

Ex1: Hoa: Hi, I am Hoa

Nga: Hi, I am Nga

Ex2: Hung: Hello, My name is Hung

Nam: Hello, My name is Nam

-Ask Ss to observe the dialogues above then give structures ( 2 ways to introduce one’s name)

+ Structures :

I am = I’m + tên

My name is = My name’s + tên

Practice : 19ms

* A 4 : Practice with a group.

- Have Ss practice introducing their real name

Ex : a I’m ( Ba )

b My name’s (Ba)

- Ask Ss to look at a hand of the teacher Then T counts the fingers on the hand

* Numbers:

-oh : 0 -three:3

-one: 1 -four: 4

-two: 2 -five: 5

- Ss listen and guess the meaning of the numbers while repeating

-T guides Ss to play the game (Slap the board.)

Production :8 ms

- T: Reads the numbe:

three, five oh, one, four, two, four-five-three, three-two- oh, three-five –two,

three-two-five-one

-Ss: listen and write

- T: sticks the poster one by one on the board

+ Word cue drill:

- Modal one cue , then ask Ss to practice in pairs

The team which is faster with more correct words wins the game
