Tail Lamp Assembly

Remove

1 Open the tail gate

2 Disconnect the negative battery cable

3 Remove the bolt cover of the tail lamp assembly

4 Remove 2 bolts xing the tail lamp assembly to the

2 Fit 2 bolts xing the tail lamp to the body, tighten them

to3-5Nm, and check the torque

3 Fit the bolt cover of tail lamp

4 Connect the negative battery cable

5 Close the tail gate

Reverse Lamp and Rear Fog Lamp Assembly

Remove

1 Disconnect the negative battery cable

2 Remove the rear bumper

3 Remove 3 screws xing the reverse lamp and rear foglamp assembly to the rear bumper, and remove thereverse lamp and rear fog lamp assembly

1 Fix the reverse lamp and rear fog lamp assembly to therear bumper, t 3 screws, tighten them to1.1-1.3Nm,and check the torque

2 Fit the rear bumper assembly

Reverse Lamp Bulb

Remove

1 Disconnect the negative battery cable

2 Remove the rear bumper assembly

3 Rotate the reverse lamp holder counterclockwise to

remove it

4 Remove the bulb from the bulb holder

Re t

Tip: Take care NOT to touch the glass with your ngers;

always use a cloth to handle the bulb If necessar y, clean

the glass with methylated spirits to remove ngerprints

1 Fit the bulb to the holder

2 Fix the reverse lamp holder to the reverse lamp, tighten

it clockwise and ensure it is xed in place

3 Fit the rear bumper assembly

4 Connect the negative battery cable

Rear License Plate Lamp Assembly and Bulb

Remove

1 Disconnect the negative battery cable

2 Remove the tail gate interior trim panel

3 Disconnect the harness connector, pry off the clipxing the rear license plate lamp assembly to the tailgate from the inside of the tail gate

4 Remove the rear license plate lamp holder from therear license plate lamp assembly, and remove the rearlicense plate lamp bulb

Re tTip: Take care NOT to touch the glass with your ngers;always use a cloth to handle the bulb If necessar y, cleanthe glass with methylated spirits to remove ngerprints

1 Fit the new rear license plate lamp bulb to the holder,and t the holder to the rear license plate lampassembly

2 Fix the rear license plate lamp assembly to the tailgate, press the clip in place, and connect the harnessconnector

3 Fit the tail gate interior trim panel

Side Direction Indicator Lamp Assembly

Remove

1 Disconnect the negative battery cable

2 Remove the exterior rearview mirror glass

3 Remove the exterior rearview mirror cover

4 Remove 4 screws xing the exterior rearview mirror

ring to the exterior rearview mirror motor bracket,

and remove the exterior rearview mirror ring

5 Remove 1 screw xing the case of the secondary

exterior rearview mirror to the exterior rearview

mirror motor bracket, pry off the mounting clip of

the case of the secondary exterior rearview mirror,

disconnect the harness connector of the side direction

indicator lamp, and remove the case of the secondary

exterior rearview mirror

6 Pry off the mounting clip of the side direction indicator

lamp, and remove the side direction indicator lamp

assembly

Re t

1 Fix the side direction indicator lamp assembly to thecas e of the secondary exterior rearview mirror, andconnect the harness connector

2 Fix the case of the secondary exterior rearview mirror

to the exterior rearview mirror motor bracket, andensure the clip is tted in place

3 Fit and tighten 1 screw xing the case of the secondaryexterior rearview mirror to the exterior rearviewmirror motor bracket

4 Fix the exterior rearview mirror ring to the exteriorrearview mirror motor bracket, t and tighten 4 screws

5 Fit the exterior rearview mirror cover

Puddle Lamp Assembly

Remove

1 Disconnect the negative battery cable

2 Remove the exterior rearview mirror glass

3 Remove the exterior rearview mirror cover

4 Remove 4 screws xing the exterior rearview mirror

ring to the exterior rearview mirror motor bracket,

and remove the exterior rearview mirror ring

5 Press the clip xing the puddle lamp to the exterior

rearview mirror, and push out the puddle lamp

downward

6 Disconnect the harness connector and remove the

puddle lamp

Re t

1 Connect the harness connector of the puddle lamp

2 Fix the puddle lamp to the exterior rearview mirror

assembly, and ensure it is tted in place

3 Fit and tighten 4 screws xing the exterior rearview

mirror ring to the exterior rearview mirror motor

bracket

Service Procedures

Front Door Adjustment

Front Door Hinge Adjustment

1 Open the front door

2 Put the wood block on the jack, and put the jack under

the door to support the front door

3 Unscrew 2 bolts xing the upper/lower front door

hinges to the front door

4 Use a jack to support the vehicle and adjust the front

door

5 Pre-tighten the hinge bolts

6 Take away the jack, close the door and check if the

adjustment is proper

7 When the desired adjustment is achieved, tighten the

bolt securing the hinge on the door side to40-50Nm,

and check the torque

Front Door Striker Adjustment

The front door striker is a latch with two screws In most

cases, it is necessar y to adjust the striker upward/downward

or inward/outward:

• Frame damage resulting from a collision

• Fit a new door weatherstrip

• The customer complains that the wind noise is too loud

• It is dif cult to open or close the door

Adjust the striker upward/downward or inward/outward

according to the following procedures:

1 The door must be positioned correctly

2 Open the front door

3 Loosen 2 striker screws Adjust the striker to align the

door pin, then pre-tighten the screws

4 Adjust the clearance and ushness between the reardoor and the surrounding panels For clearanceinformation, please refer to “Body Dimension ” in the

“Body Paint and Coatings” section, and check if thedoor can be opened or closed normall y

5 After the adjustment, open the door, t 2 screws xingthe strikers to the body, tighten them to19-25Nm,and check the torque

6 Close the door

Front Door Assembly

Remove

1 Disconnect the negative battery cable

2 Open the front door

3 Remove and discard 1 bolt xing the door check to

the body side

4 Remove the locking screws securing the two hinge

halves in the middle of upper/lower hinge

Caution: Please protect paint from scratch when

removing or re tting the door assembly

5 Pry off the rubber seal ring on the body side , and pull

out the connector to disconnect the harness connector

6 Lift the front door to disconnect the hinge halves

of upper/lower hinge, and remove the front door

assembly

Re t

1 Fix the upper and lower hinges (door side) to the door,

t 2 bolts, but do not tighten them

2 With the help of an assistant, t the door to the body

through the assembly of hinges to the door and the

body, t 2 locking screws, tighten them to20-26Nm,

and check the torque

3 Connect the harness connector, and embed the rubber

seal ring into the mounting hole of the body

4 Fit 1 new bolt xing the door check to the body side ,

tighten it to19-25Nm, and check the torque

5 Adjust the opening and closing performance of thedoor

Exterior Driver Door Handle

Remove

1 Remove the front door lock cylinder

2 Disconnect the harness connector of the exterior door

handle from the door cavity

3 Move the exterior handle towards the rear body, pull

the rear of the exterior handle outwards to disconnect

it from the exterior handle bracket

4 Remove the exterior handle

Re t

1 Fit the antenna through the front mounting hole of the

handle in the door from the outside of the door, and

connect the harness connector

2 Secure the rear shim of the exterior handle, t the front

end of the exterior driver door handle into the front

mounting hole in the door, pull the exterior handle

towards the front of the vehicle, and x the exterior

driver door handle to the exterior door handle bracket

3 Fit the front door lock cylinder

4 Check if the exterior door handle can work properly

5 Close the door

Front Passenger Door Exterior Handle

Remove

1 Open the front passenger door

2 Remove the front door interior trim panel

3 Remove the plug on the front passenger side door, toreach the plastic slide valve xing the exterior handlelock cylinder cover to the exterior handle bracket

4 Pull the plastic slide valve out towards the rear bodywith a hook

5 Disconnect the harness connector of the exterior doorhandle from the door cavity

6 Pulling the rear end of the exterior handle,thenremove the lock cylinder cover

7 Move the exterior handle towards the rear body, pullthe rear of the exterior handle outwards to disconnect

it from the exterior handle bracket, then remove it

8 Remove the exterior passenger door handle

Re t

1 Fit the antenna through the front mounting hole of the

exterior handle in the door from the outside of the

door, and connect the harness connector

2 Fit the front end of the front passenger side door

exterior handle into the mounting hole, and move the

exterior handle towards the front of the vehicle

3 Pulling the rear end of the exterior handle, x the lock

cylinder cover to the exterior handle bracket, push the

plastic slide valve in and ensure it is tted in place

4 Press the plug into the round hole in the door side and

secure the plug clip rmly so that seal can be achieved

5 Fit the front door interior trim panel

6 Check if the front passenger side door exterior handle

can work properly

7 Close the front passenger door

Front Door Hinge Assembly

Remove

1 Disconnect the negative battery cable

2 Open the front door

3 Put the wood block on the jack, and put the jack underthe door to support the front door

4 Remove and discard 1 bolt xing the door check tothe body side

5 With the help of an assistant, hold the door, removeand discard 2 bolts xing the upper/lower hinges tothe door side

Caution: Please protect paint from scratch whenremoving or re tting the door assembly

6 With the help of an assistant, hold the door, pry offthe rubber seal ring on the body side , and pull out theconnector to disconnect the harness connector

7 Remove the front door assembly

8 Remove the A pillar lower trim panel

9 Remove the instrument panel beam assembly

11 Lift the dash panel heat insulation pad at the bolt hole,rem ove the hot melt gasket at the bolt hole, remove

and discard 2 bolts (2) xing the upper/lower hinges of

the front door to the bodyside from the inside of the

body Remove the upper/lower hinges of the front door

Re t

1 Locate the upper/lower front door hinges to the body

2 Fit 2 new bolts xing the upper/lower hinges to the

bodyside from the inside of the body, tighten them

to30-36Nm, check the torque, and t the hot melt

gasket

3 Fit 2 new bolts xing the upper/lower hinges to the

bodyside from the outside of the body, tighten them to

30-36Nm and check the torque

4 Fit the instrument panel beam assembly

5 Fit the A pillar lower trim panel

6 With the help of an assistant, locate the door to the

body

7 Connect the connector plug, and insert the rubber seal

ring into the mounting hole of the body

8 Fit and pre-tighten 2 new bolts xing the upper/lower

hinges of the front door to the door side

9 Fit and pre-tighten 1 new bolt xing the door check

to the bodyside

10 Adjust the clearance and ushness between the front

door and the surrounding panels For clearance

information, please refer to “Body Dimension ” in the

“Body Paint and Coatings” section, and check if the

door can be opened or closed normally

11 After the adjustment, tighten the bolts xing the

upper/lower hinges of the front door to the door to

40-50Nm, and check the torque Tighten the bolt

xing the door check to the bodyside to19-25Nm,

and check the torque

12 Adjust the opening and closing performance of the

Front Door Lock Cylinder

Remove

1 Open the front door and raise the door window to

the highest position

2 Remove the front door interior trim panel

3 Release the clip connecting the lock cylinder link to the

lock cylinder of the front door from the door cavity to

disconnect the lock cylinder link from the lock cylinder

4 Remove the screw cover of the lock cylinder at the end

of the front door, to reach the screw xing the door

lock cylinder to the exterior door handle bracket

5 Release the screw, but do not remove as it is clamped

inside

6 Pulling the rear end of the exterior front door handle,

pry open the lock cylinder housing and remove the

lock cylinder assembly

Re t

1 Pulling the rear end of the exterior front door handle,

x the lock cylinder of the front door to the exterior

door handle bracket and tighten the screw from the

round hole at the end of the door

2 Fit the plug and the lock cylinder housing and secure

the plug clip rmly

3 Fit the clip connecting the lock cylinder link to the lockcylinder of the front door from the door cavity

4 Check if the door handle can work properly

5 Fit the front door interior trim panel

Front Door Lock Assembly

Remove

1 Open the front door, and ensure that the front door

windows rise to the highest position

2 Remove the front door interior trim panel

3 Remove 3 bolts xing the door lock to the door

4 Disconnect the harness connector of the door lock

5 Loosen the clip (1) xing the front door lock cylinder

link to the lock cylinder, and disconnect the lock

cylinder link Loosen the lock cylinder link (3)

6 Loosen the clip (2) xing the exterior front door handle

link to the lock

7 Disconnect the exterior front door handle link (4) from

the lock, and remove the front door lock assembly

8 Disconnect the inner handle cable from the lock

assembly

Re t

1 Connect the front door inner release cable to the frontdoor lock

2 Connect the harness connector of the front door lock

3 Fit the lock cylinder link to the lock

4 Fit the bolts xing the lock assembly to the door panelfrom the door cavity from top to bottom, tighten them

to7-10Nm, and check the torque

5 Clip the exterior front door handle link into thecorresponding clip of the front door lock

6 Clip the lock cylinder link into the corresponding clip

of the lock cylinder

7 Check if the exterior/interior handles of the front doorcan work properly

8 Fit the front door interior trim panel

Exterior Front Door Handle Bracket

Remove

1 Raise the window to the highest position

2 Remove the exterior front door handle

5 Remove the harness clip, and remove the exterior

handle bracket assembly from the door cavity

1 Fit the exterior front door handle bracket assembly

from the front door cavity, t the harness clip, and

locate it to the corresponding mounting position on

the door outer panel

2 Fit the exterior front door handle link to the exterior

front door handle bracket

3 Fit and tighten 1 screw xing the exterior handle

bracket to the door from the outside of the door

4 Clip the exterior front door handle link into the

corresponding lock slot

5 Fit the exterior front door handle

6 Try to open the door through the exterior handle and

lock cylinder, and ensure all parts are correctly tted

Front Door Window Upper Moulding

Remove

1 Pry off the clip xing the front door window uppermoulding, and remove the front door window uppermoulding

Re t

1 Locate the front door window upper moulding to thefront door frame, press the clip in place, and t thefront door window upper moulding

Exterior Rear Door Handle

Remove

1 Open the rear door

2 Remove the plug at the end of the rear door, to reach

the plastic slide valve xing the lock cylinder trim cover

of the rear door to the exterior door handle bracket

3 With a hook, pull the plastic slide valve out towards

the rear body, but do not rem ove the plastic slide valve

for it is connected to the bracket

4 Pulling the rear end of the exterior rear door handle,

remove the rear door lock cylinder trim cover

5 Move the exterior handle towards the rear body, pull

the rear of the exterior handle outwards to disconnect

it from the exterior handle bracket, then remove it

1 Fit the front end of the exterior rear door handle

into the mounting hole, and move the exterior handle

towards the front of the vehicle

2 Pulling the rear end of the exterior handle, x the lock

cylinder cover to the exterior handle bracket, push the

plastic slide valve in and ensure it is tted in place

3 Press the plug into the round hole in the door side and

secure the plug clip rmly so that seal can be achieved

4 Check if the exterior rear door handle can work

properly

Remove

1 Open the rear door

2 Ensure that the rear door windows rise to the highest

position

3 Remove the rear door interior trim panel

1 Fit the exterior rear door handle bracket assembly from

the rear door cavity, and locate it to the corresponding

mounting position on the door outer panel

2 Fit the exterior rear door handle link to the exterior

rear door handle bracket

3 Fit and tighten 1 screw xing the exterior handle

bracket to the door from the outside of the door

4 Fit the exterior rear door handle link into the

corresponding lock slot

5 Fit the exterior rear door handle

6 Try to open the door through the outer handle, andensure all parts are correctly tted

Rear Door Adjustment

Rear Door Assembly

Remove

1 Disconnect the negative battery cable

2 Open the rear door

3 Unscrew and discard 1 bolt xing the door check to

the body side

4 Pry off the rubber seal ring on the body side , and pull

out the connector to disconnect the connector plug

5 Remove the locking screws securing the two hinge

halves in the middle of upper/lower hinge

Caution: Please protect paint from scratch when

removing or re tting the door assembly

6 Remove the rear door assembly

Re t

1 Fix the upper and lower hinges (door side) to the door,

t 2 bolts, but do not tighten them

2 With the help of an assistant, t the door to the body

through the assembly of hinges to the door and the

body, t 2 locking screws, tighten them to20-26Nm,

and check the torque

3 Connect the connector plug, and insert the rubber seal

ring into the mounting hole of the body

4 Fit a new bolt xing 1 door check to the body side ,

tighten it to19-25Nm, and check the torque

5 Adjust the opening and closing performance of the

door

Rear Door Hinge Assembly

Remove

1 Disconnect the negative battery cable

2 Open the rear door

3 Unscrew and discard 1 bolt xing the door check tothe body side

4 Pry off the rubber seal ring on the body side , and pullout the connector to disconnect the connector plug

5 With the help of an assistant, hold the outside of thedoor, rem ove and discard 2 bolts xing the upper/lowerhinges to the door side

Caution: Please protect paint from scratch whenremoving or re tting the door assembly

6 Remove the rear door assembly

7 Remove and discard 2 bolts (1) xing the upper/lowerhinges to the body side from the outside of the body

8 Remove the B pillar lower trim panel

9 Remove and discard 2 bolts (2) xing the upper/lowerhinges of the rear door to the body side from the inside

B pillar.

2 Fit 2 new bolts xing the upper/lower hinges to the

bodyside from the inside of the B pillar, tighten them to

30-36Nm and check the torque

3 Fit the B pillar lower trim panel

7 Fix the upper/lower hinges of the rear door to the

door side , t and pre-tighten 2 new bolts

Check the positioning of the bonnet:

1 The curve from the bonnet to the fender must be

unblocked

2 The clearance between the bonnet and both sides of

the fender must be uniform;

3 The clearance and ushness between the bonnet and

the fender must conform to the size standard

Adjustment

1 Mark the pro les of the bonnet with a non-permanent

marker

2 Loosen 4 nuts xing the hinges (bonnet side) on both

sides to the bonnet

3 Adjust the bonnet to uniformise the clearances between

the bonnet and the front bumper fascia, the headlamp

and the front fender (for clearance information, please

refer to "Body Dimension " in the "Body Paint and

Coatings" section), and to make it t with the front

bumper fascia, the headlamp and the front fender in

2 Locate the bonnet lock assembly to the bracket of thefront-end module, and align it with the position markedwhen removing

3 Fit 3 bolts xing the lock assembly to the bracket ofthe front-end module, and do not tighten them to thespeci ed torque at this step

4 Close the bonnet, observe the relative position of thelock and lock catch, adjust the lock and allow the lockcatch to enter into the lock tongue

5 After adjustment, tighten 3 bolts to7-10Nm, andcheck the torque

6 Fit the bonnet release cable at front compartment endonto the lock assembly, and fasten it

5 Remove 3 bolts (1) connecting the fuel ller to thebody, pry off the 4 openings (2) reserved for theretaining clips with a at-bladed tool, and loosen 4 clipsxing the door housing to the body in sequence

6 Remove the fuel ller door housing

1 Pass the fuel ller through the fuel ller door housingassembly, locate the fuel ller door housing assembly

to the body Please adjust the gap around the fuel ller

to avoid contact with the side panel Ensure the clip istted in place

2 Fit and tighten 3 bolts xing the fuel ller to the body

3 Turn the motor switch of charging port door clockwise

to t it to the housing of charging port door

4 Connect the harness connector of the fuel ller housingassembly

5 Fit the left-side trim panel of luggage compartment.Luggage

Tail Gate Assembly

Remove

1 Open the tail gate

2 Remove the tail gate interior trim panel assembly

3 Disconnect the harness connectors of the rear window

wiper motor, the tail gate lock and the rear combination

4 Release the interface of the resistance heater wires of

the tail gate window

5 Loosen the tail gate harness sheath, and pull the harness

out of the tail gate cavity

6 With assistance , remove 4 bolts xing the hinges on

both sides to the tail gate If it is required to re t the tail

gate, a reference position shall be marked on the hinge

7 Remove the tail gate assembly

Re t

1 With the help of an assistant, t the tail gate to the

correct position

2 Check the t clearance and ushness between the

tail gate and the bodyside panel and rear end panel

For clearance information, please refer to "Body

Dimension " in the "Body Paint and Coatings" section

3 After adjustment, tighten 4 bolts to26-34Nm, andcheck the torque

4 Press the ball head sockets at piston end of gas springs

on both sides onto the ball heads on tail gate sidepanels till a sound “click” is heard, indicating that theyare tted in place , and then insert the steel pieces

5 Connect the washer reservoir hose with the nozzlehose, t the harness into the tail gate cavity, and t thetail gate harness sheath

6 Connect the interface of the resistance heater wires ofthe tail gate window

7 Connect the harness connectors of the rearcombination lamp, the tail gate lock and the rearwindow wiper motor

Tail Gate Lock Assembly

Remove

1 Remove the tail gate interior trim panel

gate, and disconnect the lock harness connector

3 Remove the tailgate lock

1 Locate the tail gate lock to the tail gate panel through

2 Fix the tail gate lock to the tail gate, t 3 screws but

do not tighten them

3 Connect the harness connector

4 Check and adjust the t clearance and ushness

between the tail gate lock and the surrounding panels,

tighten the lock screw to19-25Nm after adjustment,

and check the torque

5 Fit the tail gate interior trim panel

Tail Gate Hinge Assembly

Remove

1 Remove the tail gate assembly

2 Mark the positions of tail gate hinges on the body with

a non-permanent marker

3 Pry open the tail gate end of roof interior trim panel to

access the retaining nuts of tail gate hinges

4 Remove 4 nuts xing the left/right tail gate hinges to

the body, so as to rem ove the tail gate hinge assembly

Warning: As the large weight of the tailgate, operations

should be performed after the safety feature is set, and

take extra care to prevent the vehicle from damaging and

5 Remove the tail gate hinge assembly

Re t

1 Locate the tail gate hinge assembly to the marked

mounting position on the body

2 Fit 4 nuts xing the left/right tail gate hinges to the

body, tighten them to26-34Nm, and check the torque

3 Fit the tail gate end of roof interior trim panel

4 Fit the tail gate assembly

of the gas spring at body end to the body, and removethe ball head mounting brackets of the gas spring attail gate end and body end

1 Align the mounting brackets of gas spring at right (left)body end and tailgate end with the mounting holes inthe body and the tailgate respectively, t 4 screws and 2bolts, tighten the screws to19–25Nm while the bolts

to19–25Nm, and check the torque

2 Align the ball head socket at sleeve end of gas springwith the ball head on the mounting bracket at right(left) body end, and make sure the gas spring piston isdownward

3 Hold the sleeve, push the ball head socket onto theball head with thumb If the two parts are tted well, a

“crack” sound will be heard

Caution: To avoid damaging the airtightness of the airspring, never hold the centre of the air spring and laterallyapply force to it by hand
