Service Procedures-A/C HVAC System

c Remove 2 screws (1) securing the passenger side

footwell air outlet on the A/C box, disconnect the

harness connector of the temperature sensor and

remove the passenger side footwell air outlet

d Remove 2 screws xing the temperature damper

motor to the A/C box

e Disconnect the connection between the motor and

the temperature damper linkage mechanism

f Disconnect the harness connector of the temperature

damper, and remove the right temperature damper

motor

1 Fit the right temperature damper motor

a Connect the connector of the right temperature

damper motor

b Connect the motor and linkage mechanism of the

temperature damper

1 Connect the harness connector of the A/C controller

2 Fix the A/C controller assembly to the instrument

panel beam, t 2 bolts, tighten them to2–4Nm, and

check the torque

3 Fix the right centre console moulding to the centre

console frame, t and tighten 6 screws

4 Fit the centre console front storage box assembly

5 Remove the interior temperature sensor

Re t

1 Fix the interior temperature sensor to the lowerinstrument panel assembly, t 2 screws, tighten them to1.2– 1.6Nm, and check the torque

2 Connect the harness connector of the interiortemperature sensor

3 Fix the passenger side footwell air outlet to the A/Cbox, t and tighten 2 screws

4 Connect the harness connector of the passenger sidefootwell air outlet

5 Fit the driver side lower trim panel

Ambient Temperature Sensor

Remove

2 Disconnect the clip xing the ambient temperature

sensor to the air inlet grille

3 Disconnect the connector of the ambient temperature

sensor and remove the sensor

Re t

1 Connect the connector of the ambient temperature

sensor

2 Fix the ambient temperature sensor to the air inlet

grille and secure with clips

Solar Sensor

Remove

2 Use a tool to pry off the clip xing the front air outlettrim panel to the upper instrument panel, and removethe front air outlet trim panel

3 Disconnect the harness connector of the solar sensor

4 Loosen the clip and remove the solar sensor

Re t

1 Fix the solar sensor to the front air outlet trim paneland secure with clips

2 Connect the harness connector of the solar sensor

3 Fix the front air outlet trim panel to the upperinstrument panel and secure with clips

Remove

1 Remove the front wheels

3 Disconnect the steering gear outer tie rod from theknuckle

4 Mark the location of the locking nut, and loosen thelocking nut (1) xing the steering gear outer tie rod tothe steering gear inner tie rod

5 Unscrew the steering gear outer tie rod from thesteering gear inner tie rod

Re t

1 Fit the steering gear outer tie rod to the markedlocation of the locking nut with the ball joint upward

2 Tighten the locking nut to65–75Nm

3 Locate the steering gear outer tie rod on the steeringknuckle, t a new nut and tighten it to40–50Nm

4 Fit the front wheels

Steering Gear Inner Tie Rod

Remove

1 Remove the steering gear boot

3 Remove the steering gear inner tie rod

1 Locate the steering gear inner tie rod to the steering

gear and use a tool to tighten the steering gear inner

tie rod to100–110Nm

2 Fit the steering gear boot

Steering Wheel Positioning Adjustment

Adjustment

1 If the steering wheel exceeds the locator valueclockwise:

a Loosen the right locking nut

b Turn the right outer tie rod to the left by a hexagonalplane

c Tighten the right locking nut to65–75Nm

d Loosen the left locking nut

e Turn the left outer tie rod to the left by a hexagonalplane

f Tighten the left locking nut to65–75Nm

2 If the steering wheel exceeds the locator valuecounterclockwise:

a Loosen the left locking nut

b Turn the left outer tie rod to the right by a hexagonalplane

c Tighten the left locking nut to65–75Nm

d Loosen the right locking nut

e Turn the right outer tie rod to the right by ahexagonal plane

f Tighten the right locking nut to65–75Nm

3 Repeat 1 or 2 till the wheels are facing forward and thesteering wheel is in the centre

Steering Wheel Assembly

Remove

1 Remove the steering wheel airbag

2 Put the steering wheel in the centre and allow the

wheels to be in the front

3 Disconnect the harness connector (2) of the steering

wheel

4 Loosen 1 bolt (1) xing the steering wheel to the

steering column

5 Ensure that the steering wheel is completely disengaged

from the steering column spline grooves and then

remove the bolt

6 Remove the steering wheel assembly

7 Stick tape along the edge of the steering column lever

combination switch to keep it in the correct mounting

position

Re t

1 Remove the tape on the combination switch of the

steering column lever

2 Ensure that the wheel is in the front, and t the steering

wheel to the steering column according to the mark

4 Connect the harness connector of the steering wheel

5 Fit the steering wheel airbag

Steering Wheel Moulding

Remove

1 Use a tool to pry off the steering wheel moulding

carefully

Re t

1 Locate the steering wheel moulding on the steering

wheel and press the moulding gently by hand

Steering Column Shield

3 Remove 2 screws (1) xing the steering column lowershield to the combination switch

4 Remove 1 screw (2) xing the steering column lowershield to the steering column

5 Release the steering column to an appropriate position,and remove the steering column lower shield

3 Fit 1 screw xing the steering column lower shield tothe steering column, tighten it to1.4-1.8Nm, andcheck the torque

4 Fix the IPK frame upholster y to the steering columnupper shield and secure with clips

5 Fit the upper shield of the steering column

1 Remove the steering wheel combination switch

joint to the upper steering column and discard it

4 Remove 3 bolts xing the steering column to the

instrument panel beam assembly

5 Remove the upper steering column assembly

6 Fix the upper steering column assembly to the drillingmachine , drill a small hole in the screw head of thesteering column lock, choose a broken screw extractorwith an appropriate diameter to rotate the screw out,and do not damage adjacent parts

7 Disconnect the steering column lock from the uppersteering column

Re t

1 Locate the steering column lock to the upper steeringcolumn, t the new bolt, tighten it to13–15Nm, andtwist off the bolt head

2 Fix the steering column to the instrument panelbeam assembly, t 3 bolts, tighten the upper bolts to19–25Nm and the lower bolts to 26–34Nm

3 Locate the intermediate shaft universal joint to theupper steering column, t 1 new bolt and tighten it to20Nm+120°

4 Fit the driver side lower trim panel assembly

3 Fit the driver side lower trim panel assembly and switch

Combination Switch

RemoveWarning: It is imperative that before any work

is undertaken on the SRS system the appropriateinformation is read thoroughly

2 Remove the steering wheel assembly

3 Fix the clock spring with tapes, ensure it will notmove left and right (relative to the combination switchbracket) and is always in the centre

4 Remove the steering column shield

5 Remove the trim panel xed by clips between thelever switches of cruise control and direction indicatorlamp/high beam

6 Remove 6 screws (4 screws for vehicles without cruisecontrol) xing the lever switch to the steering column

7 Disconnect the harness connectors of the clock spring,wiper/washer, direction indicator lamp/high beam andcruise control lever switches (if equipped)

8 Remove the wiper/was her, direction indicator lamp/highbeam and cruise control lever switches (if equipped)respectively

9 Remove the screws to remove the clock spring fromthe steering column, and take care not to damage thelocating tape

Re t

1 Before tting, ensure that the red locating pin of theclock spring is not removed or damaged and the frontwheels face the front

2 Ensure the clock spring to be tted is in the centre, if

it is not, gently rotate the rotor counterclockwise tothe end, then turn it clockwise for about 2.7 circles.Align the connector clip with the Lock Pin position (thislocation is the centre)

3 Fit the clock spring to the steering column and connect

the harness connector

4 Connect the harness connectors of the lever switches

of direction indicator lamp/high beam, wiper/washer

and cruise control (if equipped) respectively, and x

them to the com bination switch bracket with 6 screws

(vehicles without cruise control use 4 screws)

5 When tting a new combination switch assembly to the

steering column, ensure the front wheels face the front,

place the combination switch assembly right above the

steering column, t it into the steering column as an

assembly and locate it by turning from side to side

6 Tighten the screw under the combination switch

bracket to5–6Nm and ensure the combination switch

assembly will not loose

7 Fit the steering column shield

Service Procedures

Four-wheel Alignment

Check

Steering and vibration complaints are not always the result

of improper alignment One possible cause is wheel and tyre

imbalance, and another possibility is tyre off-track due to

worn or improperly manufactured tyres De nition of vehicle

off-track: Vehicle off-track refers to the phenomenon in which

the vehicle straight driving on a at road and turns to one side

on its own, causes the centre line between the front and rear

axle is inconsistent with the centre line of the driving track

Before performing any adjustment affecting wheel alignment,

perform the following inspections and adjustments in order to

ensure correct alignment readings:

• Check tyres for proper air in ation or irregular wear

• Check the radial runout of wheels and tyres

• Check wheel bearings for excessive clearance or gap

• Check ball joints and steering tie rod ends for looseness

or wear

• Check control arms and stabilizer bar for looseness or

wear

• Check the steering gear on the frame for looseness

• Check struts/shock absorbers for wear, leakage or any

noticeable noises

• Check the vehicle trim height

• Check the steering wheel for excessive drag or poor

returnability due to stiffness or corrosion of linkage

mechanism or suspension components

Also give consideration to the cond ition of the equipment

being used for the alignment Follow the equipment

manufacturer's instructions

Satisfactory vehicle operation may occur over a wide range of

alignment setting value However, if the setting value exceeds

the ser vice allowable speci cations, correct the alignment to

the ser vice recommend ed speci cations

Perform the following steps when measuring front and rear

wheel alignment angles:

1 Fit the alignment equipment according to the

manufacturer's instructions

2 Conduct up and down vibration for the front and rear

bumpers 3 times prior to checking the wheel alignment

3 Measure the alignment angles and record the readings

4 Adjust alignment angles to the speci ed value, if necessar y

Adjustment

1 Observe the readings indicated on the test equipment,

and adjust the four-wheel alignment data according to

the requirements

2 Front Wheel Toe-in Adjustment:

a Release the locking nut of the steering tie rod

b Adjust the steering tie rod to set the front wheelalignment parameters to the speci ed value

c Tighten the locking nut to65–75Nm

d For the other side , repeat the above steps

3 Rear wheel camber adjustment:

a Loosen the nut (1) xing the rear lower swing arm tothe subframe

b Rotate the eccentric bolt with a tool until the rearwheel camber falls within the speci ed range

d For the other side , repeat the above steps

4 Rear wheel toe-in adjustment:

a Release the nut (2) xing the rear lateral push rodassembly to the rear subframe

b Rotate the eccentric bolt (2) with a tool until therear wheel toe-in falls within the speci ed range

Front Lower Swing Arm Assembly

Remove

1 Remove the wheels

2 Remove 1 nut (3) xing the outer ball joint of front

lower swing arm to the steering knuckle and discard it

3 Disconnect the outer ball joint of front lower swing

arm from the front steering knuckle

4 Remove 2 bolts (1) and (2) xing the front bushing

of front lower swing arm to the front subframe and

discard them

5 Remove 1 bolt and nut (4) xing the rear bushing

of front lower swing arm to the front subframe and

discard them

Warning: Do not jack the vehicle under the front or rear

lower arm as damage or misalignment may occur

6 Remove the front lower swing arm assembly

Re t

1 Locate the front lower swing arm to the subframe ,

t the new bolts and nut, but do not tighten them

temporarily

2 Tighten the bolts xing the front bushing of front lower

swing arm to front subframe to100–120Nm

3 Tighten the nut xing the rear bushing of front lower

swing arm to front subframe to（（81–99））Nm＋）＋

4 Locate the outer ball joint of front lower swing arm

4 Remove 1 nut (2) xing the steering gear outer tie rodball head to the steering knuckle and disconnect theconnection

5 Remove 1 nut (1) xing the front horizontal stabilizerbar connecting rod to the front shock absorber anddiscard it Disconnect the connecting rod from thefront shock absorber

6 Remove 2 bolts and nuts (3) xing the front shock

7 Disconnect the steering knuckle from the front shock

absorber

8 Remove the A/C air inlet grille assembly, panel and seal

9 Remove 3 bolts (4) xing the front shock absorber to

the body and discard them

10 Remove the front shock absorber assembly

11 Remove the dust cap on the top of the front shock

12 Fix the spring compressorT32016 and T32017 to the

front shock absorber spring

13 Ensure the adapter of the spring compressor is properly

tted, and compress the spring

14 Lock the top of the front shock absorber with an Allenwrench, remove and discard the top nut

15 Remove the top mount assembly of the front shockabsorber

16 Remove the bearing and spring vibration insulator

17 Remove the coil spring of front shock absorber

18 Remove the dust cover and bumper of the front shockabsorber

19 Release the pressure of coil spring, loosen the adapterfrom the spring compressor and remove the coil spring

3 Clean the front shock absorber strut and bumper

4 Locate the bumper and front shock absorber dustcover to the front shock absorber strut

5 Locate the front shock absorber coil spring to thefront shock absorber, applyT32016 and T32017 tocompress the spring

6 Ensurin g correct mounting position, locate the springvibration insulator, bearing and top mount assembly tothe front shock absorber strut

7 Fit the nut at the top of the front shock absorber

8 Lock the front shock absorber strut with a tool andtighten the nut to65–75Nm

9 Release the elasticity of the spring, loosen the adapter

of the spring compressor and take out the springcompressor

10 Fit the dust cap of the front shock absorber

11 Clean the junction of the front shock absorber assemblyand the vehicle body

12 Locate the front shock absorber assembly to the body,

t 3 new bolts and tighten them to55–65Nm

13 Fit the A/C air inlet grille assembly, panel and seal.A/C

Remove

1 Remove the wheels

3 Remove nuts (2) (both sides) xing the front horizontal

stabilizer bar to the connecting rod and discard them

4 Remove 4 bolts (1) (2) (3) and (4) xing the bushing

bracket of front horizontal stabilizer bar to the front

subframe and discard them

5 Remove the front horizontal stabilizer bar

Re t

1 Locate the front horizontal stabilizer bar to the front

subframe and adjust it to the appropriate place

2 Locate the bushing bracket of front horizontal stabilizer

bar to the front subframe , t 4 bolts and pre-tighten

them, then tighten them to55–65Nm in sequence

3 Locate the front horizontal stabilizer bar to the

connecting rod, t nuts （both sides ） and tighten

them to75–90Nm

Caution: Nuts and bolts must be tightened with weight of

vehicle on suspension

4 Fit the wheels

5 Lower the vehicle

Remove

1 Remove the wheels

2 Remove the nut (1) xing the front horizontal stabilizer

bar connecting rod to the front shock absorber

assembly and discard it

3 Remove the nut (2) xing the front horizontal stabilizer

bar connecting rod to the front horizontal stabilizer

bar and discard it

Caution: To prevent damage to components, use two

spanner s when loosening or tightening unions

4 Disconnect the connection and remove the front

horizontal stabilizer bar connecting rod

Re t

1 Locate the front horizontal stabilizer bar connecting

rod to the front horizontal stabilizer bar, t a new nut

and tighten it to75–90Nm

2 Locate the front horizontal stabilizer bar connecting

rod to the front shock absorber assembly, t a new nut

and tighten it to75–90Nm

3 Fit the wheels

Front Wheel Hub Assembly

1 Remove wheel trim cover, then remove the locking nut

of the front axle shaft, and discard it
