Reset EEPROM Data to Default Value

The EEPROM is part of the TCM memory, the data stored

in the EEPROM will not change when the software and

calibration is updated After the diagnostic procedure is

completed, restore the EEPROM data to a reasonable range

so as to avoid wrong data is used by the TCM software.

After replacement of the following parts, perform the

diagnostic procedures for resetting the EEPROM data to

default value:

• Transmission

• TCM

When performing the diagnostic procedure, the following

conditions must be met:

1 The ignition switch is in "ON" position

2 Turn off the engine

3 Can’t reset the EEPROM to default value after clutchengagement point self-learning

After operation successful, must let the vehicle power downnormally(must not disconnect battery)

Perform this diagnostic procedure, the operation shall be heldfor about 3s

1 Connect the scan tool to the vehicle and access the VDS.

2 Select "Fast Track - Learn Value/Adjustment - Reset

EEPROM Data to Default Value", and operate as per

the instructions on the screen

Caution: TheThe operationoperationoperation shallshallshall bebe donebe donedone beforebeforebefore thethe

Clutch Pressure/Current Curve Self-learning

Correct pressure/current curve value of the odd/even clutch

can be stored to the TCM by self-learning of the clutch

pressure/current curve

After replacement of the following parts, perform the

diagnostic procedures for clutch pressure/current curve

self-learning:

• Pressure sensor

When performing the self-learning, following conditions must

be met:

1 The engine is working for more than 5min

2 The vehicle is in P gear and the vehicle speed is 0

3 TCM has no identified DTC.

4 Valvebody temperature: 35–70℃

After operation successful, must let the vehicle power down

normally(must not disconnect battery)

The self-learning shall last for about 1min, during the operation,

the forced actions of the clutch will cause vehicle vibration, this

is a normal situation

1 Connect the scan tool to the vehicle and access the VDS.

2 Select "Fast Track - Learn Value/Adjustment - AT

Self-learning - Clutch Pressure/Current Curve

Self-learning", and operate as per the instructions on the

Shift Fork Position Self-learning

Shift fork position self-learning will store the correct position

information of the shift fork to the TCM.

After replacement of the following parts, perform thediagnostic procedures for shift fork position self-learning

After self-learning, drive for a while to check the effect of theself-learning If the vehicle performance is lowered, repeat theself-learning

Clutch Engagement Point Self-learning

Clutch engagement point self-learning will store the correctengagement point information of the odd/even clutch to the

TCM.

Perform the diagnostic procedures for clutch engagementpoint self-learning under the following conditions:

When a part is replaced:

• Transmission (The operation is not needed when replace

a totally new transmission)

• TCM

Poor Vehicle Performance:

• Severe impact occurs during vehicle start

• Severe impact occurs during vehicle shifting

Trang 9

• The respond is too long

When performing the diagnostic procedure, the following

conditions must be met:

1 The engine is working for more than 5min

2 The vehicle is in P gear and the vehicle speed is 0

8 Do not depress the accelerator pedal

9 Engine speed (when engine idles) is less than 1200rpm

10 Is engine torque stable:Yes

After operation successful, must let the vehicle power down

normally(must not disconnect battery)

The self-learning shall last for about 1min, during the operation,

the forced actions of the clutch will cause vehicle vibration, this

is a normal situation

1 Connect the scan tool to the vehicle and access the VDS.

2 Select "Fast Track - Learn Value/Adjustment - AT

accelerator pedal undepressed, the vehicle should start

off within 1 second while engine speed has no obviously

decline

2 Step on brake pedal, it should not shock obviously when

switch the shift lever from N gear to D gear and N gear

to R gear

If the vehicle performance is lowered, repeat the self-learning

Transmission Sensor Test

The diagnostic procedure can be used to determine if the signal

of the transmission sensor is normal by comparing the signal

from the TCM and the actual feedback from the sensor.

After replacement of the following parts, perform the

diagnostic procedures for transmission sensor test

• Pressure sensor

When performing the diagnostic procedure, the following

conditions must be met:

1 The ignition switch is in "ON" position

2 Engine running

3 The vehicle speed is 0

4 The vehicle is in P gear

5 TCM has no identified DTC

The diagnostic procedure shall last for about 20s

1 Connect the scan tool to the vehicle and access the VDS.

2 Select "Fast Track - Other - AT Sensor Test", and operate

as per the instructions on the screen

When the operation is completed successfully, the scan toolwill prompt its completion

After replacement of the TCM, perform the following

operations:

1 Connect the scan tool to the vehicle and access the SIPS.

2 Select "Programming and Coding — TCM

—Replacement", and operate as per the instructions onthe screen

The procedures for replacement already include proceduresfor update, configuration and setting (diagnostic procedures

for resetting EEPROM to default value and reading SubROM

data (all))

If the operation fails during replacement, please operate as

per the instructions on the screen If resetting EEPROM to

default value or reading SubROM data (all) fails only, apply the

VDS to reset the EEPROM to default value; if the operation

is successful, perform the diagnostic procedures for readingSubROM data (all)
