1 Scope and field ofappl cation

This International Stand rd specifies nominal d imensions and tolerances of four-hole flang es for

g ear-driv en air compres or ; it also specifies the locations of lubricating oi inlet and outlet con ections

This International Stand rd a ples to flang es of g ear-driv en compres or mou ted on reciprocating

internal combustion eng ines for commer ial v ehicles and buses

3.1 Dimensions of the four- hole flang e

The flang e config uration shal be contained within the area of dimensions P, W, H, A , B and r

( se Fig ure 1 and Ta le 1)

3.2 Dim ensions and locations oflubricating oi inlet conne tion

The choice betwe n the two pos ible locations( 1 or2) of the lubricating oi inlet con ection shal be decided

b mutual ag re ment betwe n sup ler and user ( se Fig ure 2 an Ta le 2)

3.3 Location of lubricating oi outlet conne tion

There are two pos ible locations for the dis harg e of the lubricant;both pos ibi ities ma be prov id ed at the

compres or

a) Outlet within the centring shoulder In this case, as embly is pos ible up to8 ° of rotation arou d the

horiz ntal a is of the c an shaft on either sid e

the future

b) Outlet outside the centring should er In this case the area where the hole shal be located is defined

b esta lshing two diameter v alues an the wid est ang le g iv en in Fig ure 3
