2 General
2.1 Num ber of contacts There shal be sev en
contacts desig nated as fol ows:
e common return;
f fai ure warning ;
g rev er ing l g ht;
h power sup ly ;
i sensing dev ice with common return;
j switched power sup ly ;

2.2 Arrang em ent of contacts The ar ang ement
of contacts shal be as shown inFig ure 1
and Fig ure 2
2.3 Socket The socket shal be mou ted on the rear
of the towing v ehicle in the case of a roa train It
shal be mou ted on the semi traier in the case of
an articulated road train
The socket shal be prov ided with six contact
pins (f to k) and one spring tube( e)
cor esponding to pin e of the plug
All contacts shal be insulated
NOT After fi ing , contact ema b con ected to the
common return of the v ehicle
The internal diameter of tube e shal be such that
the cor espond ing pin of the plug can be con ected
with a moderate push, but it shal ensure a g ood
electrical contact
Each rear terminal shal be ca a le of receiv ing two
conductor of1.5mm
