CH, X, GH, C, P, K, F, S, SS, SH Chú ý với Sed cần chú ý như sau:

Nếu ta thêm “ing” vào

- s đọc là /sing/ thì ed đọc là /t/

- s đọc là /zing/ thì ed đọc là /d/

Ví dụ:

- Promise >> promising (sing)>> promised sẽ có ed là /t/

- cause>> causing (zing)>> caused sẽ có ed là /d/

/id/ Tiền- Đô (tức là T và D) hoặc Tình Đầu /t/, /d/

NGOẠI LỆ - Chú ý các từ có đuôi « ED » sau LUÔN được phát âm là /id/: candied

aged (cao tuổi), blessed (thiêng liêng), crooked (cong, vặn vẹo), dogged (gan góc, bền bỉ), naked (trơ trụi, trần truồng), learned (có học thức), ragged (bù xù), wicked (tinh ranh), wretched (tồi tệ, khốn khổ), beloved (yêu thương), cursed (khó chịu, tức giận), rugged (gồ ghề), sacred (trân trọng), legged (có chân), hatred (lòng hận thù), crabbed (càu nhàu, gắt gỏng), hundred (hàng trăm)

- Chú ý những từ sau « ED » được phát âm là /d/ : ploughed, bathed, breathed
