INTRODUCTION

TOEFL Score CONVERSION TABLES

The paper-based and computer-based tests use different scoring scales These conversion tables provide

approximate TOEFL scores for both versions of the test

QUICK DIAGNOSTIC TEST

Look under Zotal Number Correct for the number of questions answered correctly on the Quick Diagnostic

Test Read across the table On the same line, you will find your approximate TOEFL Score Range for both

the paper-based and computer-based tests This is not a precise score Rather, it gives a general idea of

where your score might fall in a range of possible scores

Separate conversion tables are used for Listening, Structure, and Reading Make sure you use the correct

table for each test section

For each test section, look in the correct column under Number Correct for the number of questions

answered correctly on the test you have taken Make sure you look in the correct column (Tests 1 & 3 or

In the Listening section of the test, you will have an opportunity to demonstrate your ability to understand

conversations and talks in English Answer all the questions on the basis of what is stated or implied by the

speakers you hear Do not take notes or write during the test

PART A

Directions: In Part A you will hear short conversations between two people After each conversation, you

will hear a question about the conversation The conversations and questions will not be repeated After you

hear a question, read the four possible answers and choose the best answer
