I Aims and objectives :

* Language content :

- To provide more some new words about food and drink

- To enable the sts to master all of the names of food and drink

*Language function :

- To help the sts to ask about the price and amount

*Educational aim :

- To educate in the sts to economize

1 Language:

a Vocabulary: - a sandwich; a glass of, lemon juice

b Structures: - How much is it?

- How much are they?

1 Skills : : Speaking – Listening - Reading - Writing

2 Educational factor : - Knowing the price of goods.

II Teacher’s and students’ preparation :

1 Method : Communicative Approach

2 Techniques : Explanation, Repetition, using picture, game, pair work

3 Materials needed : Textbook, pictures, cassette player

4 Previous exercise :

III PROCEDURES IN CLASS :

1 Stabilization : 2ms

a) Warm up : Greetings b) Checking absence: Who is absent today, monitor?

I/ Lead - in :

- What can you buy at the canteen at

your school? Check

- Introduces the new lesson: “Now, we

come to the part B1 to review the

vocabulary that we learnt about food

and drink based on the pictures.”

II/ Pre- Practice:

*B1:- Shows the pictures B1 and has

sts say the names of food and drink in

the pictures and then go to the board

in order to write the letter of each

picture

- Corrects their spelling mistakes

*B2:- Teaches the new words:

+ A sandwich (n) : ( Explanation)

+ A glass of : ( Explanation)

+ Lemon juice : ( Explanation)

- Checks understanding of the new

words : Rub out and remember

III/ Controlled- Practice :

- Plays the tape three times, then the

second time stops sentence by

sentence and has sts repeat

- Asks the sts to practice the dialogue

with a partner

- Calls some pairs of sts to practice in

front of the class and corrects their

pronunciation

*B3:- Reminds the meanings of the

words:” breakfast, lunch and dinner”

- Asks a good student to answer the

question:” What would you like for

breakfast?”

- Has the sts practice asking and

answering the exercise B3 with the

- Check

- Listen

- Look at the pictures Then tell the names and write them on the board

- Guess the meanings of the words and write down

- Do as the teacher required

- Listen and repeat

- Pair work

- Practice in front of the class
