Dạng câu phát biểu:
(câu xác định và câu phủ định)
Khi chuyển câu điều kiện từ trực tiếp sang
gián tiếp:
Dùng từ giới thiệu said hoặc told.
Có thể dùng hoặc không dùng “that”.
Đổi các đại từ, từ sở hữu sao cho tương ứng với đại từ, từ sở hữu ở mệnh đề chính
Ta lùi thì lại để phù hợp với thời điểm tường
thuật (hiện tại thành quá khứ và quá khứ thành quá
khứ hoàn thành)
_ He said: “If I catch a taxi, I’ll be home early”.
He said (that) if he caught a taxi, he would be
home early.
_ He said to me: “If you don’t study hard, you will not pass the exam”.
