UNIT 1 : MY NEW SCHOOL

I Objectives.

- By the end of the unit, students will be able to:

+ Read for specific information about schools, read e-mails and webpages

+ Listen to get information about school activities/ what students do at school

+ Talk about and describe a school and school activities

+ Write a webpage for students’ school and know how to use punctuation

+ Use and practice vocabulary about school things and activities

+ Use and practice the present simple and the present continuous; V( study, have, do, play )+N

- Students will be developed 4 skills: speaking , listening , reading and writing

- Students will be educated to love their school more and they will like learning English more and more

LESSON 1: GETTING STARTED

I Objectives:

1 Knowledge: - By the end of the lesson sts will be able to read , listen and talk

specific information about school things corectly and fluently.They also can create some short role-plays using school things and activities

- Vocabulary: pencil sharpener, calculator,rubber,compass, excited,

- Pronunciation: Sound / ∂u / and //

- Language contents: The present simple and the present continuous

2 Skill: To introduce the students the way of greeting.

3 Moral behavior: To make the students have good greetings with their friends and

others

II Teaching aids: Computer, projector

III Method of teaching: T –WC, groups, pairs, individual

4 Summary (1’)

- T asks ss to repeat the main contents of the lesson : vocabulary, some expressions and the details of the dialogue

5 Homework (2’)

- Practice the dialogue, learn by heart vocabular, make some more short

conversations using the four expressions that you have learnt

- Write the new poem in your notebook
