Objectives: Ss will be able to greet someone formally and ask about health

Sentence patterns: Good morning.How are you ? Vocabulary: morning, afternoon, evening, very well, sorry Resources Student’s book, CD, puppets, posters

PROCEDURES

1 Warm up: T and Ss introduce themselves Whole class

2.Look,listen

and repeat:

Ask Ss to open their book on page 6 and look

at the picture of the class

Ask the questions: Who, Where, What time…

Tell Ss that they are going to look at the dialogue, listen to the recording and repeat the dialogue between Miss Hien and the Ss

Play the recording through for Ss to listen to the dialogue

Play the recording again, pausing after each line for Ss to repeat

Divide the class into 2 groups Ask G1 to repeat Miss Hien’s part and G2 the Ss’ part

Check to make sure Ss can repeat and understand the dialogue

Mrs Loc, Quan and Linda, P.c: Mr Green and

Mr Brown, P.d: Miss Hien and some Ss sitting

on the bus).

Tell Ss that they are going to practising greeting and responding to greetings

appropriately, using good morning, good
