UNIT : 5 THINGS I DO Period : 26 LESSON: A MY DAY (3, 4)

I Aims and objectives :

* Language content : _To present vocabulary related to after school activities _To enable Ss to use the present simple tense of the ordinary verbs

* Language function: _To help Ss talk about activities after school

* Educational aim: _To make Ss aware of the importance of work arrangement .

1 Language :

a Vocabulary: watch-listen-read -housework-music - after

b Structures: What does Nga do everyday?

She gets up at 6 everyday

2 Skills : Speaking – Listening - Reading - Writing

3 Educational factor : Knowing to practice the good daily habits.

II Teacher’s and students’ preparation :

1 Method: Communicative approach:

2 Techniques: Repetition-explanation- pair work

3 Material needed: Pictures, cassette player.

4 Students’ preparation: picture, new lesson.

5 Previous exercises: Teacher’s key to the last exercises

III PROCEDURES IN CLASS :

II Pre-Practice

-Teaches the new words:

+ watch (v) (picture)

+ housework (n) (picture)

+ listen (v) (mine)

+ music (n) (drawing)

- Checks understanding of the

new words, using the technique:

“ what and where”

III While - Practice

-Plays the tape and asks the Ss to

repeat

- Directs the Ss to practice

speaking the text in pairs: one

- Individual speaking

_Guess what is going on

in the lesson

- Choral then, individual repetitio

- Learn the new words according

to the teacher’s direction and write down

- Play the game

- Look at the pictures

- Listen to the tape and repeat

- Pairwork

- Try to pronunce the verbs correctly
