Memory game

- Show the photocopied picture to Ss and ask them to observe it carefully

- Let Ss look at the picture for 30 seconds then put it away

- Divide the class into two groups

- Ask Ss to listen to the questions:

1 How many people are there in the picture? What are they doing?

2 Name all things in the picture

- Put the picture on the board again

- Give feedback and correct

Answer key:

1 They are participating in the rice-cooking competition

2 rice,basket,pans,bamboo sticks ,paper fans, chopsticks ,a flag

- Write 9 numbers on the board from 1 to 8

- Tell Ss each number is for a question but 2 of them are lucky numbers If Ss choose a lucky number ,they do not have to answer any question but they get 2 points and they can get another number

- Have Ss connect the sentences to make it a report

(according to Lunar Calendar ).This festival was specially organized for children.

It was held in the yard of the cultural house in my village.The main festival lasted for about three hours when the moon is at its fullest During the festival, children took part in various activities like : singing ,shouting ,wearing masks, marching in a procession of lanterns and banging the drums

Besides, children ate a very special cake called Moon cakes

Children went on playing traditional games until mid –night This festival was a very special occasion for Vietnamese people and especially for children to play and enjoy on a variety of activities It helped children understand more about Vietnamese traditions

Pelmanism : infinitive –past participle

- Prepare 12 cardboards , numbered from 1 to 1 on one side and the words on the other side

-Stick the cardboards on the board showing the numbered side

- Divide the class into 2 teams and ask each team to choose

2 numbers ,one in the first row and one in the second row

If the words in both cards match in sequence of an infinitive with its past participle ,this team will get a point put –put , write –written , hold –held , make –made, break – broken, award – awarded

My class has just come back from a trip to Phong Nha Cave , a world heritage site in central Viet Nam is about

500 km from Ha No and it took us 10 hours to get there by train We stayed in Dong Hoi city for one night before the wonderful trip to Phong Nha cave started

The next day ,We got up very early and went to Phong Nha cave We did lots of things but the one we enjoyed most is guided tour into the bid Caves Although it ‘s a summer day ,it is very cold and dark inside The guide showed us the history of the limestone which made such magnificent caves We took many photographs with local people there

We came back to hotel in Dong Hoi in the afternoon We swam in Nhat Le beach It was really fantastic The water

is clear and the sand is smooth
