Chú ý: - Động từ “ to be”be” không sử dụng trong thì HTTD, thay bằng thì HTĐ

Ex: + It is cold now ( không đợc nói: It is being cold now)

+ She is hot at this moment ( không đợc nói: She is being hot at this moment )

- Động từ chỉ tri giác, cảm giác, nhận thức nh: think (nghĩ), know (biết),

understand (hiểu), love (yêu), like (thích), feel (cảm thấy), believe(tin tởng) … cũngkhông đợc sử dụng trong thì HTTD, thay bằng thì HTĐ

3 Cách sử dụng của các tính từ chỉ lợng bất định:

a little/ a little; few/ a few (một ít, một vài):

- “ to be”little/ a little” dùng trớc danh từ không đếm đợc: little rice ( ít gạo); a little sugar (ít

đờng)……

- “ to be”few/ a few” dùng trớc danh từ đếm đợc số nhiều: few apples( vài quả táo);

a few friends (vài ngời bạn)……

b many, much, a lot of, lots of ( nhiều):

b1 many; much: “ to be” many” dùng trớc danh từ đếm đợc số nhiều, “ to be” much” dùng
