I- Xác định tên chủ đề: Education

II- Mô tả chủ đề:

1-Tổng số tiết thực hiện chủ đề: (6 tiết)

+ Period 1: Reading the dialogue between Tim and his Mom about his study

Using “indirect speech” to report other’s speech And use should to give advice + Period 2: -Practice speaking about the students’ study habits and listening the dialogue between Sarah Chen’s teacher and her mother about her study result.

+ Period 3: Reading a text about how to learn new words well for details.

+ Period 4: Discussion: How do you learn new words? and how to learn English well + Period 5: - Help students know the format of a friendly letter and write letters to their friends (tell him/ her about their study and things they intend to do next time) + Period 6: Practice adverbs of manner, modal verb with should to give advices, practice in Commands and requests, advice in indirect speech.

+ Objectives: - By the end of the lesson, students will be able to

understand the dialogue between Tim and his mom, SS’ll able to give advice and recognize the indirect speech.

+ Skill: listen and read

b- Aims of 2 nd period: Practice speaking about the students’ study habits and

listening the dialogue between Sarah Chen’s teacher and her mother about her study result.

+ Objectives: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to talk about their study habits

and listen for specific information to fill in Sarah Chen’s report card

c Aims of 3 rd period : To help students read a text about how to learn new words well for

details

+ Objectives: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to improve their reading skill

and to understand the text for details, to know some ways to learn vocabulary well

+ Skill: Reading

d.Aims of 4 th period: To help students survey their partners to find how their partners learn

English words, they discuss and find out the best way of learning words and learning

English for themselves

+ Objectives: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to know some ways to learn

English well

+ Skill: Reading:

e Aims of 5 th period : To help students to know the format of a friendly letter and write

letters to friends

+ Objectives: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to know the format of a friend

letter and write a similar letter to their friends

+ Skill: Writing:

f: Aims of 6 th period: Help ss to practice adverbs of manner, modal with should to give

advices, practice in Commands and requests, advice in indirect speech

+ Objectives: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to do better in reported speech

with Commands and Requests, advice Further practice the adverbs of manner

+ Skill: Speaking and writing

Mrs.Chen: Good evening

Miss Blake: I’m please to tell you that Sarah has worked very hard this year and her grades are very good

Mrs.Chen: I’m so please to hear that

Miss Blake: She missed 5 days of school due to sickness but an attendance of 87 days for the whole term is acceptable Both her participation and cooperation are satisfactory So, There’re no problems there.

Mrs.Chen: How is she doing in English?

Miss Black: Her speaking and reading are excellent and her writing is good If she works a bit harder on her writing skills, she should get an A for writing next term.
