2 Pre – Writing.

your friends or relatives in another

part of Viet Nam or in a different

country”

- Explain to write a personal letter:

-Ask Ss to read the outline of the

letter

- Gives the students some questions

and asks them to answer in pairs

1.Where did you visit?

2.When did you arrive?

3.Who met you at the

airport/bus/train station?

4.What have you done?

-Which places have you visited?

-Who have you met?

-What kinds of food have you eaten?

-What have you bought?

5.How do you feel now?

6.What do you think interest most?

7.When are you returning home?

E.g:

S1: What did you do?

S2:I visited Ho Chi Minh’s mausoleum, the History museum I met Lan’s friends and we ate “nem chua”

First paragraph:

- Talk about -What you’ve done -Places you’ve visited

- people you’ve met

- food you’ve fried

- things you’ve bought Third paragaph:

- tell how you feel (happy/disappointed… ) -Say what interests you most

Note: In case the verb is

“TOBE”,we use “WERE” for all

persons

Examples:

• I don’t have a motor now

→I wish I had a motor.

• I am not tall

→I wish I were tall.

- Ask Ss to work in pairs and do the

exercise 3 on page 12,using the

simple past with “Wish”
