I Objectives :

a.Education aim: To teach the Ss love travelling and to be proud of the beauty of our country b.Teaching aim: By the end of the lesson,Ss will be able to talk about the things in the past.

II Language contents:

a Vocabulary:- aquarium,gifts,trip

- some irregular verbs

b Structures: - The simple past form

III Teaching aids: cassette, pictures,subboard,handouts

IV Techniques: guessing, asking and answering, role play,game

V Procedures:

1) Warm up:

-Give some pictures of beautiful sites in Vietnam

- Have Ss match the places with the place-names: Hanoi,HCM city,

Nhatrang, Dalat, Hue

-Qs: Do you like travelling?

What places here do you want to visit?

Do you want to visit Nhatrang? why?

What do you know about Nhatrang?

-> Present the Unit and the lesson

2)Presentation:

- Present the context

- Have Ss listen to the tape and tick the words they can hear about
