PROCEDURE:
For the subject “Weather”, The assistant of the day asks his/her friends “What’s the weather like?” and choose one of his/her friends to give the answer and then the assistant arranges the weather chart according to the directions Additionally the assistant starts ABC and all of the students revise alphabet Additionally the assistant asks his/her friends: “What’s the weather like?” and Ss give the answer: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday,
Friday…
Teacher re-introduces and presents the vocabulary of the unit related to weather and weather phenomena and seasons with the songs of the unit and flashcards and related
worksheets Teacher encourages the Ss to be able to talk about basic weather phenomena and characteristics of the seasons and encourage them to talk about their favourite seasons and explain the reason Upon the revision and consolidation of the subjects, T and Ss make related activities from the smart board
To develop listening comprehension skills through a dialogue and make them be able
to follow a story listened in English, T and Ss listen and watch a flash story and then talk about it and draw their understanding Furthermore, stories are read and watched or listened throughout the theme
T introduces body parts vocabulary (head, face, leg, shoulders, arm, hand, finger, etc ) and wants the Ss to write the related vocabulary on their notebooks and afterwards encourages the Ss to carryout related worksheets and activities
Trang 3Afterwards to consolidate the weather subject, as a craftwork activity, Ss create their own monsters and then present them Additionally to support the unit with visual aids, T and
Ss watch related flash songs and stories
T introduces vocabulary and structures related to illnesses (My head hurts, I have a pain in my head, my stomach hurts etc.) and encourage Ss to talk about their illnesses To consolidate the subject, as a game, one of the S comes to the board and act out an illness and the rest of the class try to guess what is wrong with him/her
To consolidate the learned letters vocabulary T encourage the Ss to remember and revise the words introduced and afterwards introduces new letters (I and J) and related
vocabulary with flashcards, pictures on board, board games and worksheet activities Various worksheets, games and activities are carried out Furthermore different coloring activities and software activities from the Fairyland on smart board or from the book are carried out
Additionally, to support the learned sounds, T introduces the reader “Top Cat” with basic phonics and then encourages Ss to read and carry out related activities
