car y ing area ma be u locked b the key for that
closure;
c) it shal not be pos ible to activ ate or deactiv ate
the dea locking sy stem b the a plcation of
electromag netic or other transmis ions and
power sup ly v riations when tested in
ac ord ance with the a propriate method in
Annex B;
d ) it shal not be pos ible for a sing le power
malfunction to cause d ea locking of al the
closures Conformity shal be checked b
calculation, b sed on information which shal be
prov id ed b the manufacturer
7 Test conditions
7.1 For the tests specified in clause 5 a complete

NOT 1 For tests to b car ied out on the de dlocking system,
ac es to the driv r’s comp rtment should b p rmi ed to
esta lish conformance to 3.9
NOT 2 The closure internal trim ma b remov ed, eiher
completely or p rtaly, pro ided that b so doing the pro e or
simple to l is not p rmi ed to p s into/throug h sp ces that
would otherwise b restricted b the trim if i were present. This
is to neg ate the ne d for the tester to b familiar wih the latch
mechanism when forming the pro e or simple to l
7.4 It shal not be pos ible to release or ena le the
release of the latches of any of the driv er’s
comp rtment closures an thereb g ain ac es to
the driv er’s comp rtment b the folowing methods,
without permanently distorting the closure or the
sur ou ding bod y a erture
a) I contact can be mad e with any p rt of the
latch as embly , latch l n ag e, lock or internal
locking and u locking control fom outside the
v ehicle using a probe formed fom a wire of
diameter 1.5 mm, then b) shal a ply to that p rt
which is in contact
b) Attach a simple to l v ia the external ac es
point of the probe an then replace the internal
trim Manipulate the to l ov er the rang e of
directions which are pos ible f om the ac es
point whi e a ply ing loa throug h the to l up to a
ma imum of 3 0 N I no simple to l can be
at ached then that p rt of the ln ag e is
consid ered to hav e satis ied the req uirements
of7.4
NOT In the case where a larg e p rton of the lin ag e can b
contacted b the pro e, the tester ma restrict tests to the
mid-p int an to e ch en of that p rton
