I Objectives:
* By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
- say the words they have learnt with correct pronunciation
- match the phrases with the correct pictures
- imitate the upper case letters O and M and the lower case letters o and m,
using body positions
- Ss can develop some following competences
+ Communicative and collaborative competence:act 1,3,4
+ Problem-solving competence: act 1,3
+ Self-studying and self-control competence: act 2, 3,4
+ Problem-solving and creative competence: act 4

+ Incomplete ss: can pronounce the name of the letter O/M in the words lock, clock, mop, pot, mango, mouse, monkey
+ Well-completed ss: can pronounce the name of the letter O/M in the words lock, clock, mop, pot, mango, mouse, monkey while listening

Activity 1: Warm up
Trang 2-Let pupils play the game “Simon says” using the letters they have learnt.
Activity 2:
-Content 1 Circle and match Then say
- Procedure:
+ Have Ss look at the pictures and explain what to do Model with the first picture,
if necessary
+ Ask Ss to trace the pictures and colour them individually.
+ Have Ss work in pairs to compare their work and practise saying the words
+Move around and correct their pronunciation, if necessary
+Call some Ss to show their work, point to the pictures and say the words in front
of the class
+ Repeat the same procedure with pictures 2, 3, and 4 Give further support to those Ss who find it difficult to do the task
+ Correct pronunciation, if necessary.
Activity 3:
-Content 3:Match and say
- Procedure:
+Have Ss look at the phrases and the pictures Explain how to do the activity
Trang 3+ Draw their attention to the numbers Then Ss look at the pictures on the right and find one appropriate picture to match the phrase After that, pupils draw a line from the phrase to the suitable picture
+ Follow the same procedure with Questions 2, 3 and 4 Give further support to
those Ss who find it difficult to do the task
+ Have Ss work in pairs to compare their work and practise saying the phrases + Call some Ss to show their work and say the phrases in front of the class
Activity 4:
-Content 4: Let’s play
- Procedure:
+ Divide class into two groups
+ Ask Ss of two groups play game
+ Congratulate the winner
Consolidation:
- Content: Review the letter P/K and words (pasta, popcorn,pizza,
kite,bike and kitten)
- Procedure:
+ Ask Ss to answer the following questions:
What have you learnt from the lesson today?
What are the core values of the lesson? ( if the teacher can take from the lesson)
+ Praise some Ss who are hard working/ active/ good… as well as encourage others to try more
+ Give feedback
Homework:
